🌍 The renewable technology revolution in one chart! Renewables are now beating fossil fuels on cost in over 80% of projects in 2023! Some massively impressive numbers from International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) on the plummeting levelized cost of energy (LCOE), which corrects for differences in capacity factors between different energy sources. Back in 2010, solar PV was 414% more expensive than fossil fuels. Fast forward to 2023, solar now beats fossil fuels by 56%! 🌞 Wind? Offshore has dropped from being 126% more expensive than fossil fuels to being 25% cheaper! And onshore wind costs are now 67% lower! 💨 Renewables are becoming an unstoppable economic force. The transition isn’t about to happen—it’s here! 🚀 #Renewables #EnergyTransition #Sustainability #ClimateAction #Solar #Wind #FutureIsNow #CleanEnergy #Climate

The graph represents change in cost of renewable energy as compared to energy derived from fossil fuels. A drop of cost for solar energy from 414% to -56% and wind energy from 23% to -67! This is such a major change! Hopefully this massively drive change towards #decarbonisation!

In 2023, global renewable energy capacity surged by 50% compared to 2022, with solar PV leading the charge, making up 75% of new additions. 📈⚡ While progress is being made, financing challenges in emerging economies remain a hurdle. Solar and wind power have already proven cheaper and more sustainable than fossil fuels, but more work must be done, especially in scaling up renewables where they’re needed most. The next 5 years will be key to reaching the goal of tripling renewables by 2030, set during COP28. Together, we can build a cleaner, greener future! 🌍🌿 👉 adameglobal.com #SolarPowerPlant #SolarProject #SolarFarms #SolarPV #SolarEnergyProjects #SolarInfrastructure #GreenEnergy #SustainableEnergy #SolarPanels #CleanEnergy #SolarSolutions #GoSolar #EnergyEfficiency #EPCServices #GreenTechnology `#EnergyConsulting #epcservices

The IEA's latest analysis in the Renewables 2024 report shows that by 2030, global renewable capacity could grow enough to equal the entire power capacity of the U.S. and E.U. combined. 🌱⚡ While this is great news, we need all sectors to work together to hit the tripling renewables target by 2030. The next six years will define how close we come to a secure, sustainable energy future for all. SRMI Partners are together to make it happen! https://lnkd.in/eRFnCK6y #3xrenewables #RenewableEnergy #EnergyTransition #NetZero2030 #SDG7

Germany is making impressive strides in renewable energy! In 2024, the country added nearly 20 GW of new power capacity, with solar energy leading the charge. Rooftop installations are booming, empowering homeowners to take control of their energy use. Wind power is also on the rise, both onshore and offshore, while biomass continues to play a steady role in the mix. With renewables generating around 255 TWh—nearly 60% of total electricity production—Germany is paving the way for a cleaner, more sustainable future! 🌍☀️💨 #RenewableEnergy #Sustainability #Germany https://lnkd.in/eGYpFATn #SolarPower #RenewableEnergy #GreenTech #SustainableLiving #EcoFriendlyInnovation

A new milestone for clean energy! 🌍 For the first time, over 40% of the world’s electricity came from zero-carbon sources in 2023, according to BloombergNEF. Wind and solar contributed 14%, and an impressive 91% of new global power capacity came from renewable energy, leaving just 6% from fossil fuels. This momentum is set to continue, with $313 billion invested in renewables in the first half of 2024. As renewable energy investment grows, it’s clear that clean energy is rapidly outpacing fossil fuels, moving us closer to a sustainable future. 🌬️☀️💡 #Renewables #CleanEnergy #Sustainability #ClimateAction #BloombergNEF
