This past week, we witnessed three active hurricanes over the Atlantic Ocean, a first in recorded history. Hurricane Kirk hit Portugal, leading to 1,329 incidents related to strong winds, with 77% of them due to falling trees. Ironically, this brings a new urgency to the phrase "when the last tree has fallen." I believe culture can be a powerful tool for raising awareness and driving action. AURORA's song “The Seed” is an example of this "climate youth rage" and a call-to-action through music. It critiques our capitalist mentality and reminds us that we won't be able to "eat money" when the damage is done. AURORA has performed this anthem in diverse settings, from protected forests to icebergs, showcasing her mission to spotlight climate change. This is just one example that has generated millions of interactions on platforms like Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music, as well as at concerts and social media. Partnering with institutions such as Greenpeace and National Geographic, it highlights the incredible impact that a 4-minute song can have.
