This week Greenpeace Australia Pacific’s forests team launched our new Deforestation Scorecard, exposing the abysmal efforts to address deforestation by Coles Group, Woolworths Supermarkets and other major beef buyers. As you can see, big beef purchasers need to do more to prevent the destruction of forests within their supply chains, and in coming months, our team will step up efforts to hold them to account. To end deforestation in Australia by 2025, Greenpeace is focused on environmental law reform and engaging with corporates to make positive changes in their supply chains. It’s been great to collaborate with Australian Conservation Foundation, The Wilderness Society Australia and WWF-Australia on our corporate advocacy. Working with our allies has had the powerful outcome that we in Australia's environment movement are united on our corporate deforestation policy ask. We look forward to working with our movement partners to push deforestation out of corporation supply chains, and protect our beautiful forests.
