The project was a design and build for Wigan League College at Prescott St. New Skills Academy. All the building use is a real location of the business hub from Parsons Walk. It's actually creating new office spaces on the 1st floor and then there's an expansion of Page Field and that construction and so on. So there's warehouse area for brickwork, plastering, painting, decorating and then a new classroom space as well for the for the for their teaching all subjects. Copper work was a general refurbishment. It was previously used. As a college for. Animal Management previously. Before that it was a skills Academy. But it was quite in a dilapidated state so the the main the main office area and classroom areas will literally strip back to to to nothing to shell. It was a full electrical and mechanical reinstallation. The warehouse space again stripped back to shell and was fitted back out with bespoke plastering base, bespoke painting, decorating bays and then the instruction of new dust extract systems and new Reznor gas heating throughout the warehouse area. On a full traditional wet system back in all the office area. So as part of the early engagement with the client, we talked about their sustainability plan and and the use of PV solar on the roof. Now that could be used back into the design of the lighting. So that was incorporated on the roof and designed by Kaga. We're gonna leave college is a is a partner client we've done lots of work for over the last few years. And again, this is another signature project for for their summer. We have developed a strong working relationship with Wigan and Leigh College so already had in mind the type of look and feel we wanted to illustrate and we did this through a technical drawing pack and 3D walkthrough which was presented to the stakeholders and end users for approval. One of the standout features for this project was the bespoke reception desk, which is your first point of call upon entry to the new Skills Academy. We also provided the loose furniture package meeting the different requirements of the campus.
