🌍 Exciting News: La Loyka Joins 1% for the Planet! 🎉 We are thrilled to announce that La Loyka is part of the global 1% for the Planet movement! Even more exciting, we are proud to be Chile's first and only professional consulting initiative to make this commitment 🇨🇱 At La Loyka, we've seen firsthand the challenges NGOs face in securing the resources they need to deliver meaningful conservation programs. That's why we are dedicated to bridging the gap between passion and impact, empowering non-profits through fundraising expertise, practical tools, and strategic support. Our membership in 1% for the Planet reflects our belief that businesses must actively protect the environment. Through this commitment, we pledge to donate 1% of our profits to high-impact conservation organisations—because creating real change requires both action and resources. But our support goes beyond financial contributions. At La Loyka, we also offer in-kind support, sharing knowledge, skills, and tools to help smaller NGOs with limited resources thrive and grow their impact. This is just the beginning! 🌱 Each week, Karin Traeger Hermosilla releases fundraising tips to inspire and empower organisations, and we're developing digital products to ensure that even the smallest NGOs have access to the resources they need to succeed. We are incredibly proud to join this global network and excited to continue supporting the organisations protecting our planet—one campaign, one connection, and one step at a time 🚀 🔗 Want to learn more? We’re taking part in The Big Give’s #ChristmasChallenge! Until December 10th, every £1 made to The Iris Project through The Big Give’s website will be matched, thanks to the generous support of The Reed Foundation. As environmental crises escalate, young leaders around the world are advancing bold, innovative solutions. However, many face barriers that limit their ability to achieve their full impact. The Iris Project partners with these changemakers, working alongside them to amplify their efforts. By supporting and connecting youth-led initiatives, we contribute to tackling the planet's most pressing challenges—from protecting biodiversity to reducing waste and regenerating ecosystems. 🌍 Where will your support go? - We’ll fund even more inspiring projects like the Uru Uru Team in Bolivia, who are combining indigenous knowledge and science to restore their polluted lake, or Bangs Circular in Sierra Leone, who are revitalising bee populations and protecting forests through their Tiwai Honey Initiative. - We’ll provide young leaders with the training and resources they need to scale their impact and create lasting change. We're talking about workshops in storytelling, fundraising and communications. Mentoring, networking opportunities, and so much more. - Join us in bridging the funding gap for youth-led environmental projects. Together, we can amplify the innovative solutions young leaders are driving on the frontlines of the climate crisis, providing the resources to scale their impact and build lasting change for our planet. Since 2022, we’ve invested £547,000 in youth-led action. If you’re able, we’d be so grateful for your support—whether through a donation or by sharing our campaign with your networks. An interesting observation from a recent analysis highlights that environmental nonprofits received less than 2% of total charitable dollars in 2020. This raises an important question: how can we direct more support towards organizations working tirelessly on climate mitigation and justice? Emphasizing the vast gap in philanthropic funding, it's clear that we hold the power to make a difference. Let's encourage one another to explore ways to uplift these vital initiatives in our communities. How do you think we can rally support for environmental nonprofits? Share your thoughts! https://lnkd.in/guAmbjfc

🌍💚 Every effort matters I had the privilege of attending a recent WWF South Africa event. 🐼 It was incredibly shocking to hear how dire the situation has become! 😟 This isn't an issue for future generations anymore – we saw that with day zero and loadshedding, ⚡yet many of us have gone back to our old ways (including myself). 🙈 We need to start making changes – not only by donating to deserving causes like WWF, 🙏 but also by putting that bucket back in the shower 🚿💦 and turning off those unnecessary lights. 💡 #WWF #NatureConservation #Sustainability #EnvironmentalProtection #DonateForNature #ClimateAction #WildlifeConservation #ProtectOurPlanet #Adoptdontshop #DayZero #CHMAttorneys

The #ClimateCrisis has never been higher in our awareness, yet charitable donations to environmental organizations have dropped over the last few years. Daniel Stein, the founder of Giving Green, and I sat down with Alison Stine, at the Nonprofit Quarterly to discuss the challenges and opportunities in climate philanthropy, meaningful giving strategies, and the importance of donor trust to address the underfunding of climate policy advocacy and tech innovation. Together, we are working to highlight high-impact climate organizations on Charity Navigator. #GivingGreen #ClimateChange #Philanthropy https://lnkd.in/eEyuvyMY

The climate emergency affects us all and one of the most powerful ways business can make a difference is through skilled volunteering. ✨ In our survey last year, we estimated that 100,000 skilled “climate volunteers” are needed to accelerate environmental action in the UK. 🌍 That's where Pilotlight comes in. 💡 We bring together teams of skilled volunteers to solve real-world challenges that environmental charities face. Your employees work together to develop ideas and solutions for the charity to take forward, developing their own skills in the process. See how partnering with us can amplify your net zero action. ➡️https://bit.ly/40Ca0W7

The Resolute Group Ltd are proud to announce our 2-year partnership with The Tree Council! The Resolute Group are excited to announce a new partnership with #TheTreeCouncil, a charity dedicated to bringing people together to plant, protect, and promote the benefits of trees! Together, we’re aiming to make a real difference in our communities, creating greener spaces, enhancing biodiversity, and inspiring a love for nature in people of all ages. Working with The Tree Council supporting both their strategic recruitment requirements and in return supporting the charity giving our support and time in volunteering to help deliver their ambitious tree planting programme. Through this partnership, we aim to: 1. Community Tree Planting 2. Support Tree Council Programmes 3. Encourage Biodiversity This partnership is more than just a collaboration; it’s a celebration of what we can achieve when we come together to protect our planet. We’re proud to support The Tree Council’s vital work, and we’re excited for what we can accomplish together. Sara Lom (Chief Executive, The Tree Council) “The Resolute Group were introduced by a key contact at Network Rail, who spoke very highly of their work. Since then, our relationship has blossomed into a longer-term partnership, with the same shared values of top quality support and care for trees and for people. We are delighted to be working together to achieve a positive legacy for people, wildlife and our planet.’ Satt Singh Basra (Co-Managing Director, The Resolute Group) “The Resolute Group were looking to secure a charity that we could add value to over a sustained period which ultimately led Sara, Phil and I to open dialogue, after an initial introduction by a mutual friend in Sarah Borien (MIEMA CEnv) (Regional Head of Sustainable Growth at Network Rail), who has personally worked with The Tree Council for 10+ years, although Network Rail and The Tree Council have been working closely for 10+ years, and the rest was history as they say. We look forward to leveraging our extensive network and brand in bringing attention to the outstanding work that The Tree Council is carrying out and look forward to working together for many years”. Phil Crew (Co-Managing Director, The Resolute Group) “The Tree Council’s efforts to carry out projects to plant both trees and hedgerows in all weathers, to aid the effort in tackling climate change and supporting the health and wellbeing of communities across the UK, resonated well with The Resolute Group. We look forward to getting involved as volunteers in the corporate events such as tree planting for National Tree Week or providing essential tree care during the warmer, drier seasons for The Tree Council’s Trees Love Care campaign. 🌳 Full article can be found on our website below. #charity #trees #lovetrees #awareness #partnership #collaborative

Every year, European philanthropic organisations provide €54.5 billion in support of projects which can advance and benefit our societies. Green Building Councils (GBCs) participating in the WorldGBC #BuildingLife project have been working with the programme partners Laudes Foundation, IKEA Foundation and the European Climate Foundation to convene a wide range of the private and civil society sectors across 12 European countries. Working with these industry and government stakeholders, they have developed national roadmaps which are aimed at delivering a carbon neutral Europe by 2050 by eliminating both the operational and embodied carbon (Whole Life Carbon) impact of buildings. Recent developments such as the planned closure of the Wellspring Philanthropic Fund and drastic cuts in Dutch funding for NGOs has created a sense of alarm among human rights organizations worldwide. There is another, broader threat to our organizations, and the NGO sector generally: philanthropic giving is increasingly the province of a shrinking number of wealthy donors, but as climate change worsens, it will pose a stark psychological challenge to maintaining this level of generosity. I wrote something out today on the dual threat of inequality and climate change for the nonprofit sector: https://lnkd.in/d4smV5xM
