🎃 Happy Halloween from GreenWEEE! 🎃 Today, as we celebrate the spooky season, we’re excited to share an amazing project that highlights our commitment to recycling. For us, e-waste containing batteries in the electronic flow is like ghosts and monsters hiding in plain sight. That’s why we’re working on a sorting system specifically designed to identify these batteries in our production line. 💚Introducing GRINNER Project! This innovative initiative develops battery detection technology based on artificial intelligence (AI), utilizing data from X-ray detectors to locate batteries within the waste flow of electronic equipment. Our GRINNER solution also includes a robotic system for the safe automated removal (pick-and-place) of batteries before they enter the shredding phase in our facilities. 😎 Stay tuned for a sneak peek behind the scenes at our factory, and check out our video for more details on this exciting project! We’ll be sharing images soon. University of Essex LYNQ | MES Software Varex Imaging Corporation Erion TWI Hellas #ewasterecycling https://lnkd.in/dVfJAu2Z

Quite often I am asked 'Why do we need to stabilise?' As you can see from this photo taken last week in Western Australia the reason's are quite simple. Just follow these rules. •Sustainable and efficient process •Uses a small volume of additive to improve the engineering performance of in-situ materials •Reduced cost and lower carbon footprint •Minimises haulage of materials •Reduces the demand for finite new quarry materials •Process can be substantially faster •If used for subgrade improvements it can reduce the depth of pavement required. Its not rocket science. Contact us for more details for your project. Don't let the rain stop you. Hiway Group (Hiway Stabilizers) The Recycling Solutions Specialists #stabilisation

ClearFlow™ technology by McFarlen Engineering Ltd. optimizes feedwell and bustle pipe hydrodynamic design to reduce turbidity in liquor from green, white, and mud washing clarifiers. This results in higher causticizing efficiency, lower energy costs, and improved system performance. By retrofitting with ClearFlow™ technology, mills can experience significant cost savings and increased capacity. The new feedwell design improves solids settling and eliminates short-circuiting, while the new bustle pipe design collects liquor uniformly throughout the tank, providing high-quality clean liquor, and is much less prone to fouling over time. Upgrading clarifier technology is a strategic move that can yield substantial economic and operational benefits, with payback potentially achieved in just a matter of months.

https://lnkd.in/dfQGmt5u SUPER N Nano technology coatings are becoming increasingly popular for marine sustainability applications as they offer a range of superior benefits that traditional coatings simply cannot match. Below are some of the key characteristics that make nano technology coatings the leading choice in marine sustainability applications: 1. Enhanced durability: Nano technology coatings are highly durable and resistant to damage caused by environmental factors such as UV rays, saltwater, and rough water conditions. These features ensure a longer lifespan of marine equipment and structures, which can significantly reduce the need for repair or replacement over time. 2. Improved efficiency: The use of nano coatings on marine equipment and structures can reduce drag and friction, thus improving the efficiency of vessels and reducing fuel consumption. This feature is particularly important for eco-conscious boat owners or shipping companies looking to lower their carbon footprint. 3. Reduced downtime: Nano technology coatings dry quickly and typically require fewer coats than traditional coatings, reducing downtime and increasing productivity for marine operators. This factor is especially important for those operating in busy ports or commercial environments where time is of the essence. 4. Anti-fouling properties: Nano technology coatings can prevent the buildup of marine organisms such as barnacles, algae, and mussels on equipment and structures. This feature is particularly important as it can reduce maintenance costs, improve fuel efficiency, and prevent the spread of invasive species. 5. Environmentally-friendly: Nano technology coatings are typically water-based and free from toxins and heavy metals often found in traditional coatings. This feature makes them more environmentally-friendly and ensures that they do not harm marine life or contribute to ocean pollution. Overall, the superior properties of nano technology coatings make them the ideal choice for marine sustainability applications. From improved durability and efficiency to anti-fouling properties and environmentally-friendly formulation, nano coatings offer significant benefits that traditional coatings cannot match.
