This podcast has a lot of helpful insight for anyone in HR. It’s emphasis is on developing the next generation of HR leaders. I listen regularly, and a common theme amongst guests is to embed yourself in the business. This allows you to earn the trust of your clients and best align your efforts with the goals of the organization. As it was once said, an HR leader should aim to be a business leader with a people lens. Has anyone listened before?

If you're wondering how to intentionally build (or rebuild) communication within an organisation – whether your people are working flexibly, from anywhere, or on site – Tiger de Souza MBE shares some valuable insights on this crucial topic for HR leaders. Business leaders must adopt "a 'listen, hear, respond' mindset and culture, and create a range of different ways for people to give you feedback," he reminds us. Two further takeaways: 1) Try different things: "The majority of things we're trying at Samaritans were suggested by our staff team," Tiger explains. 2) Beware of the usual suspects: when seeking feedback from people within an organisation, leaders can find themselves going to the same people: the loudest or the most confident in sharing their views. "In a hybrid world, there's more of a risk of going to the usual suspects," says Tiger. "We need to be more mindful of that." #HR #business #communication
In an age when remote and hybrid working is commonplace, how can HR rebuild connections within an organisation? In the new HR Most Influential podcast by HR magazine, Tiger de Souza MBE, Executive Director of People and Culture at Samaritans, explains how HR can consciously and intentionally build communication, even when the workforce is more physically separated than ever, by 'taking the pulse' of its organisation. In the episode, hosted by HR Magazine editor, Charissa King, the following are explored: ➡️ Tiger's efforts to build a unified working culture ➡️ Why openness truly is a virtue ➡️ Why collaboration between people leaders is so helpful A great listen for HR leaders at all levels! what strategies have you found most effective for maintaining strong communication and engagement with remote or distributed teams in your own work organisation?
