It’s no secret that employee retention has been increasingly difficult over the last number of years. In such a competitive market, it makes sense to invest in your employees to attract and retain talent, boost productivity and foster innovation. Some organisation’s struggle with knowing what they should do to invest in their people. This is something we work with organisations with on a daily basis, so we wanted to share! 🌟 Three Effective Ways to Invest in Your People 🌟 1. 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 & 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: Offer training programmes, workshops, and career development opportunities to help your employees grow their skills and advance their careers. 2. 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐞 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥-𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐬: Implement initiatives that support mental and physical health, such as flexible working arrangements, wellness programmes, and access to mental health resources. 3. 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 & 𝐑𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬: Create a culture of appreciation with regular recognition and meaningful rewards that celebrate your team's hard work and achievements. Investing in your people not only boosts engagement and productivity but also fosters loyalty and innovation. Interested in what more you could do to create a thriving workplace? Couldn’t ageee more. I think culture plays a massive part in an employees decision to stay. I don’t think wellness programmes a couple of times a year will ever trump an employee feeling comfortable in their workplace. The ability to speak up, ask questions, take time off, feel heard, feel able to prioritise their family over work etc is something businesses are still not placing enough focus on .

I have been working on a really interesting Employee Engagement project recently with a local business, speaking to employees to really get under the skin of what needs to improve in the organisation to retain top talent. Businesses need to do more to keep staff happy and staff need to speak up if they need more in order to stay...the grass isn't always greener!

Completely agree, from a personal perspective I think flexibility is one of my top preferred aspects. More recently within the wellness space we are seeing financial coaching online services emerging in the market that have a positive impact on better mental health.

Good to see wellbeing access in your top 3. Happy to help with options on how that can become real.
