Service - Military, non-profit, charity, helping one other person - all counts as service. Everyone is different and everyone brings something to the equation. When one person serves in a capacity that demonstrates something bigger than themselves - pure gold! I spoke about military service in a recent post that had a lot of engagement, yet service extends beyond that as well. We need to celebrate ALL service. It may not look the same, yet it IS the same in terms of that bigger picture. Taking nothing away whatsoever here from the GREATEST sacrifice of giving life and limb for another or country, only saying that even the smallest act counts. Celebrate that small act of kindness because it matters. Celebrate that one second it takes to smile at someone that may need it even if you don’t feel like smiling yourself. Celebrate that act of listening for five minutes to a friend (or stranger). Know every act of kindness matters, is in service to another, and the #restwillfollow 💪🏻🤘🏻 #leadership #management #personaldevelopment
