Have you ever wondered what a proper interpretation booth setup looks like for an event or conference? Transcend Translation has it nailed down here. 🏦 Note the location of the booth towards the back so that it does not interfere with audience participation or views. 🎙 The audio is hooked directly into the interpreter's headphones so that the cheering does not interfere with their ability to interpret. 🎧Receivers for attendees are distributed next to the interpreter booth. 👨🏫 👩🏫 There is one booth per language with two interpreters per language. This setup is standard protocol for events that require simultaneous or UN-style interpreting. The interpreter interprets simultaneously as the speaker speaks. This takes a unique skill set and most interpreters never reach this level. Why? This type of interpretation requires the highest neurological functions of the human mind to be successful. This type of interpretation is so physically demanding studies show that after 15 minutes interpreters begin to lose about 50% of the information.
