What is a "post-TMS"? A lively debate is currently underway regarding the concept of 'post-localization' and, consequently, the nature of a #postTMS. Recent highlights include posts by CSA Research, Kirill Soloviev and Spence Green (links in the comments). At Blackbird.io we're also conceptualizing what it means to build a new backbone that is not a TMS (so a "post-TMS"). For us, the key pillars are: 1. Headless — operating a workflow engine through APIs and scripting, bypassing the need for user interaction with a UI to perform automation and orchestration. 2. Interoperability — compatibility enabling communication across different systems, including legacy TMS, MT, CAT, BMS apps. 3. Decoupled linguistic asset management — ability to exchange key assets like glossaries, term bases, translation memories, style guides, SEO keywords between any "source" or "target" system. 4. Service-in-the-loop — ability to route content, tasks, projects to experts programatically, based on dynamic rules, whether these experts are individual contributors or agencies (LSPs). The pool of experts are completely independent from Blackbird. 5. White Box — ability to choose and configure services, inspect or edit configurations, including LLMs, vectors databases, prompts, optional inputs. 6. Open Source — all apps running on Blackbird are available on Github not just for transparency, but to clone, tweak and redeploy code as private applications. 7. B2B2B — Being mindful of the language industry's unique value-chains, and building a platform that enables each stakeholder to create new value. What is a 'post-TMS' to you? 🤔

🚀 Exciting Tech Project Share! 🌐🤖 Thrilled to present a deep dive into my recent project – an Automated Translation Solution using AI, achieved in collaboration with my incredible developer team, Mohamed Hisham , Ali Taha ! 🙌👨💻👨💻 Objective: Creating a seamless solution for translating Arabic data from an Excel file into English, incorporating the power of the Google Translation API and addressing challenges like city name spelling errors. Solution Overview: Data Extraction: Extracted Arabic data from an Excel file, identifying values for translation. Google Translation API: Integrated the Google Translation API to translate Arabic text into English. 🌐 Implemented Multithreading to enhance efficiency in processing. 🚀 Multithreading for Efficiency: Divided the data into smaller frames for concurrent processing, optimizing overall performance. ⚙️ Handling Spelling Errors: Acquired a JSON file containing Arabic and English city names. Leveraged the Levenshtein algorithm to intelligently handle spelling variations in city names. 🌍 Levenshtein Algorithm: This algorithm calculates the minimum number of operations (insertions, deletions, substitutions) required to transform one string into another. In this project, it was crucial for identifying the closest matching city name, even with minor spelling discrepancies. 🧩 Implementation Details: Ensured data preprocessing for clean and consistent input. 🧹 Integrated the Google Translation API with proper authentication. 🔐 Implemented Multithreading for concurrent processing. 🔄 Employed the Levenshtein algorithm for precise city name matching. 🎯 Testing and Validation: Rigorous unit testing for individual components. 🛠️ Initial testing with a small subset of data for manual validation. 🔍 Performance testing to ensure efficiency without compromising accuracy. 🚀 Deployment and Scalability: Deployed the solution on a suitable server or cloud environment. ☁️ Considered scalability factors, optimizing parameters for larger datasets. 📈 Conclusion: This project is a fusion of programming, language translation, and AI-driven error handling. The Levenshtein algorithm proved instrumental in achieving accurate translations, even when faced with challenges like city name spelling variations. 🌟Midbank Integration: In a real-world application, we've seamlessly implemented this solution at Midbank to translate all customer data for the new T24 system. As English becomes the primary language in T24, our solution ensures compliance, preserving data integrity with precision. Explore the detailed documentation for an in-depth exploration of the project's nuances: https://lnkd.in/d9kuUUyN 📖 #AI #Translation #GoogleAPI #Programming #Innovation #MidbankIntegration #TechProject #LinkedInPost
