🏌️♂️⛳ Whilst taking part in The Agency Group. inaugural Open House Scramble golf day, a fundraiser for Rainbow Trust Children's Charity where we raised over £8,000, I had fun with the other agents comparing golf and the property industry. Here's the lowdown on how hitting the green and closing deals share more than a few similarities: 1. Precision and Skill: Swingin' your club or nailing a negotiation - both demand serious skill and finesse. 2. Strategy and Planning: Just like plotting your shots on the course, diving into the property game means strategising every move. Market conditions, client needs—you gotta play your cards right! 3. Patience and Persistence: Golf might test your zen with every swing, but so does navigating entrepreneurship. It's all about believing in yourself and never backing down, no matter how many bunkers you hit. 4. Reading the Terrain: Whether you're eyeing up a tricky fairway or scoping out a hot property, reading the lay of the land is key. It's all about knowing your stuff and staying ahead of the curve. 5. Franchising, it's a word that can sound intimidating, but it's really just a stepping stone to bigger things. When Alex Gingold and their team started their donut business, they knew they had something special. But they also knew they could only take it so far on their own. They had two paths in front of them. One was to keep growing with corporate stores. They had some great connections with Simon Premium Outlets and other malls. But they also knew that their success came from being part of the community, from giving back and doing fundraisers. Running company stores all over the U.S. seemed like a tough task. So, they started to learn about franchising. They realized that having a local presence in neighborhoods across the country could be a huge opportunity. And more importantly, it was the best way to really connect with their customers. Because at the end of the day, it's all about the people who walk through their doors and enjoy their donuts. Save the Six Bells Pub: A Community Effort with Big Milestones! Here’s a snapshot of our progress on the Save the Six Bells campaign: ✅ Achievements to Date Community Power: Over 35 volunteers joined our mission. Community Spirit: Monthly coffee mornings are fostering engagement and support. Shareholder Pledges: 92 potential shareholders have committed to buying community shares and becoming part-owners. Mini Fest Success: Raised £4,500 to support our campaign. Architectural Heritage Fund Grant: Secured £2,000 for a professional valuation of the Six Bells Pub. Initial Deposit Raised: Achieved the critical £10,000 deposit needed to secure commitment from the owner. Heads of Terms Agreed: A big step forward toward making the purchase a reality! Collaborative Efforts: Partnering with like Gwent Living Levels, RSPB, the Guides,  Local Businesses, from politicians MP Ruth Jones, MS Jayne Bryant, as well as local councillors to shape a strong business model, including a Farm Shop and a Visitor Information Centre. 💡 Community Share Offer Launching Soon!
