C the Unseen. Chemnitz is European's Capital of Culture for 2025. To say it with the mayor's words: Chemnitz is a city of challenges, of disruptions, of wounds and scars. A city in the shadow, often overlooked, often ignored. Chemnitz has a story to tell. And it's full of honest, down-to-earth humans that are worth your attention. "Pack your trolley. Join us. And C the Unseen." I never thought I would come to visit Chemnitz so often. I have never gotten to immerse as deeply in this place as I did in Rotterdam, where I lived for 5 years, but I see lots of similarities in the history of these places. Destroyed by war, rebuilt in the wrong way, faced with prejudices, robbed of the right to have an identity. And then courageous people take the action, built their new city, with little to no resources - and for this place, it's this massive chance to show that European culture does not exist only in capitals, does not exist only in baroque and medieval cityscapes, does not only exist next to the most famous museums and concert halls. Are you not maybe also from a place that is as unseen as Chemnitz? Cottbus, Oberhausen, Ludwigsburg, or Zoetermeer or Schiedam, or Winterthur, or Pioltello or Assago, or Milton Keynes, or Waterloo? It was a really good OMG Q3 Technical Committee Meeting in Chicago this week! Having been here for the first time, I feel like I have a few observations to share: 1) OMG publishes its standards #free of charge, rather than trying to make a bargain out of a necessity 2) OMG has always done what some standardization organizations are still trying to do: publishing all standards intrinsically #ModelBased and #DigitalCentric. 3) OMG leaders show a vital interest in new approaches while having an extraordinarily deep and clear understanding of what already exists and how it all dovetails. 4) OMG boards and committees worked like a clockwork, making a multitude of decisions and approvals at impressive pace. Living in a digital world, this organization truly deserves our #trust, #contribution and #support when it comes to international data standards! I am confident that our #CASCaDE initiative originating from prostep ivip Association's #DDP and Gesellschaft für Systems Engineering e.V.'s #SpecIF is in the best hands possible, and we will make it a success together. Genau daran wollte dieBasis mit der Veranstaltung am 29. August 2024 in Magdeburg erinnern und damit an die juristische und historische Aufarbeitung der Menschheitsverbrechen im Zweiten Weltkrieg. Was aber haben die Nürnberger Prozesse mit der heutigen Zeit zu tun?
