Our healthy lifestyles team will be doing Shop tours at Lidl Friar park, Wednesbury on the 3rd, 4th and 10th of December from 10-11:30am These tours are funded by Public Health. The Shop tours involve learning about nutrition, understanding food labels and gaining tips on healthy swaps. Once the tour has been completed each family will receive a £5 gift voucher. #SurveyInsights 05 Q: Having to think about what you have to eat is a challenge for you? Our recent survey found that the most number of respondents who Strongly Agree/Agree with this statement belong to the ages 20-50 Yrs. This indicates that meal planning stress is significant in the early to middle stages of life. This could be because as the family composition changes including more members of different ages, stages and preferences/needs. The 60+ age group is reasonably less challenged by this question, likely because of their experience or simpler dietary routines. They do not find this question as overwhelming as the others. Breakfast simply means breaking-the-fast. It doesn’t have a clock attached to it. But, since kindergarten, we’ve been told when to eat, and when lunch is, whether we were hungry or not. So most people have never connected with their bodies to trust them to know when they are actually hungry. If you’re not hungry in the morning, don’t eat. And that is how you break the fast, my friend. Intermittent fasting is natural to us. And our body is amazing - it will tell you when you need to eat, it will even tell you what to eat (if you get away from crappy processed sugars, that is). PS.
