Last Friday I chatted with the new director of marketing of a $100,000,000 company. My biggest lesson? 80% of being a great marketer is: • Experimenting • Looking at the data • Doing less of what's *not* working • And doing more of what *is* working For context: This guy started working at this place last week. The first thing he decided to work on? Building a dashboard to consolidate all his marketing data. That way, he & his team can have full visibility over what's working and what's not. It's simple, but most people don't do this—let alone do it consistently. P.S. Do you look at your funnel KPIs every week? If so, what’s one recent insight you’ve taken away from doing so?
