🌟 Food for Thought 🌟 In the ever-evolving landscape of leadership, I can't help but notice a recurring trend: women often step into roles dubbed as "𝗳𝗶𝘅𝗲𝗿𝘀." Take, for instance, Boeing's recent announcement of Stephanie Pope leading the commercial airplane’s unit amidst a major reshuffle. But here's the ponder-worthy question: 𝙒𝙝𝙮 𝙞𝙨 𝙞𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙛𝙧𝙚𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙡𝙮 𝙗𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙣 𝙪𝙥 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙡𝙚𝙛𝙩 𝙗𝙚𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙙𝙚𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙤𝙧𝙨, 𝙩𝙮𝙥𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙨? As a leader and advocate for women's advancement, I find myself reflecting on these patterns and the underlying biases that perpetuate them. It begs us to challenge the status quo and question why these opportunities aren't presented to capable women from the outset. 𝗟𝗲𝘁'𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗹 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗲 "𝗳𝗶𝘅𝗲𝗿𝘀." In the face of challenges like those Boeing has navigated in recent years, diversity in leadership isn't just a buzzword – it's a strategic imperative. Embracing diverse perspectives leads to more robust decision-making, innovative solutions, and ultimately, a stronger, more resilient organization. 𝘚𝘰, 𝘭𝘦𝘵'𝘴 𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘧𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦. 𝘓𝘦𝘵'𝘴 𝘤𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘴 𝘧𝘪𝘹𝘦𝘳𝘴, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘢𝘴 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴, 𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦-𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘳𝘴. 🤗 #WomenInLeadership #GenderEquality #DiversityandInclusion #LeadershipMatters #ChallengeStereotypes #EmpowerWomen #BoeingLeadership #ResilientLeadership #InspireInclusion

As we celebrate women@work this month, we need to overcome any tendency toward impostor syndrome. In my recent book, Outsmart Doubt, I share the data driven research that confidence erodes over time for women in large or traditional corporate settings, and we need to build the strength to both avoid and outsmart doubt. For the month of March, we are sharing our Confidence Profile and Best Practices as a way to help all women beat their imposter syndrome and strengthen their career fulfillment. See the comments below for a direct link to the assessment, and then share your thoughts about what you learned! #womenempowerment #womenatwork #leadership

In my journey, I’ve seen incredible women breaking barriers and shaping the future. One story that stands out is Sara Blakely's. She didn’t just cut the feet out of her pantyhose; she made a decision to change her life when she felt stuck. That moment sparked her creativity and innovation, leading to the birth of Spanx. This isn't just about business; it's about taking control of your narrative. Each of us has the power to rewrite our stories. When I faced challenges, I learned to see them as opportunities. I realized that every setback is a chance to rethink my approach. Women are breaking through in every field—technology, politics, and the arts. They are not just participants; they are leaders and visionaries. By believing in ourselves and embracing our unique paths, we can challenge the status quo and pave the way for future generations. Your story matters. Embrace your creativity, trust your instincts, and take that first step. The future is yours to shape, and you hold the pen to your narrative. Remember, you have the power to break barriers and inspire others along the way. #DiversityInBusiness #Innovation #leadership
