Pectra is the next major Ethereum upgrade, and it's set to be an even bigger deal than Dencun was. Scheduled for Q4 2024 or Q1 2025, Pectra combines two previously planned upgrades: Prague (for the execution layer) and Electra (for the consensus layer). this upgrade will allow validators to stake a max of 2,048 ETH a major increase from 32z Thought?

Ethereum's EIP-4844 upgrade will make data storage cheaper for L2s. L2s make up about 13% of the gas used in each block. We expect all of that gas usage to move to the new, cheaper blob spaces. As a result, the base fee is projected to fall on the Ethereum mainnet. Cheaper for everyone? We'll see. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/emXwwYmj

Ethereum's Cancun-Deneb ("Dencun") introduces innovative features like ephemeral data blobs (or 'blobs') and enhances both the consensus and execution layers of Ethereum. As the mainnet launch approaches, node operators and stakers are encouraged to update their systems to align with the upgrade's various key protocol changes designed to improve Ethereum's scalability and operational efficiency. Here is what you can learn about the impact of the upgrade.

The Pectra upgrade is a crucial next step for Ethereum, combining two major updates—the Prague (execution layer) and Electra (consensus layer) upgrades. It matters for several reasons. 👇 → Why This Matters If you’re staking ETH, the Pectra upgrade will influence how you manage your validators, how quickly you can activate new ones, and how you handle withdrawals. Here’s what the Pectra upgrade offers: - Makes staking from flexible and streamlined - Allows consolidation of multiple validators into one - Speeds up the time to activate new validators - Directly manage withdrawals and exits - Improve the scalability and functionality of Ethereum ✅ These improvements are designed to make staking more efficient, which could lead to optimized returns and lower operational risks. ☝️ Pectra is a significant upgrade that will modernize Ethereum’s staking infrastructure, and staying informed will help you optimize your staking strategy. 🔗 Read our in-depth review on Ethereum’s Pectra upgrade here: https://lnkd.in/e8cxaG-P

Bitcoin ASIC manufacturer BITMAIN has expanded its Antminer S21 product line with the introduction of new models, the S21+. The company revealed the air-cooled Antminer S21+ and S21+ Hydro at the Bitcoin Amsterdam Conference. The hydro-cooled version delivers a hashrate of 319 TH/s with 15 J/TH efficiency, while the air-cooled S21+ offers 216 TH/s at 16.5 J/TH. Bitmain expects to begin shipping the S21+ Antminers between Q1 and Q2 of 2025. The S21+ models are less efficient than the S21 XP but outperform the original S21 in energy efficiency. Bitmain first announced the S21 product line in October 2023, starting with the S21 and S21 Hydro models, later expanding it with the S21 Pro and S21 XP.
