📢 Excited to announce Optiml's participation at the upcoming ZIA Innovationskongress (ZIA German Property Federation). Meet #Ormat InnoVision's "iChampions"! Last week, we held a key event in Reno, Nevada: the first InnoVision iChampion Workshop. We launched Ormat's #Innovation Department and brought together the team for the first time! Their mission is to harness the power of #collaboration, #creativity, and innovation to propel our organization forward and achieve the company's goals - influencing Ormat’s growth. Innovation and creativity have always been values I have followed throughout my professional journey. That's why it was natural for me to take on the role of establishing a new innovation body that brings together several business units - our #CVC (investment arm), R&D, and Ormat's internal innovation teams. InnoVision is our program for the internal innovation team (together with Oren Ram, Brent Proulx, and Liza Tavori). The groundwork for InnoVision began with comprehensive benchmarking conversations with innovation leaders both within the Israeli industry and globally. These discussions were instrumental in tailoring a path that aligns with Ormat's unique position and aspirations. Fast forward, last week's in-person workshop was jointly facilitated by expert Ahi Gvirtsman, a co-founder of Spyre. It focused on cultivating entrepreneurial thinking; we embraced new ideas, learned how to identify and define problems, and explored rapid validation processes. Moreover, we honed our skills in pitching these solutions in a compelling manner. It was inspiring to see diverse talents and perspectives from all corners of our organization come together with a unified goal. The outcome was remarkable – numerous problems were shared, and many #solutions were proposed, which got us all very excited for what's to come. Here we go. 10 days until LSI Europe in Portugal. Looking forward to getting together with the community, catching up with old friends, making new ones, and together continuing to build the future of Medtech. Today I want to shine a light on the 200 presenting companies that will be taking the stage at Penha Longa. Incredibly strong lineup of startups at various stages of development, covering a wide range of technologies. At a glance, here are a few rough counts of company types: 47 cardio (ton of structural heart companies, lots of AFib innovation as well), 24 RPM, 18 Ortho, 11 Neuromod, 10 Robotics, 6 Women's Health, lots more.
