This past weekend we had the honor of teaming up with high school seniors from Buinger CTE Academy to compete in The 5th Annual Auto Tech Competition. The Auto Tech Competition gives high school seniors a high-profile stage to demonstrate their skills, measure of knowledge, and a race against the clock – all rolled into one. It features North Texas’ best high school automotive education students from across the country competing for top honors, scholarships, and other prizes. Thank you to our awesome students for training so hard for this competition! We appreciate your hard work and dedication. #2024AutoTechCompetition #GrubbsFamilyofDealerships

I decided to join Weber State University because my own life's mission aligned perfectly with the university's focus on access, learning, and communty. During my first few months, it's become clear that these tenants really do serve as our north star. Here is just one example of how our commitment to access, learning, and community manifests in practice: https://lnkd.in/gPMmH5D8

It's graduation season! Are you celebrating an accomplishment? Is someone you know? CONGRATULATIONS! Graduating is so satisfying, isn't it? You've finished all of those courses! I know every time I graduated I wanted to celebrate... with a long nap. Sometimes the weight being lifted is more exhausting than the weight itself! And then there's the question: "what's next?" Wherever you're going, we have a car for that! Take a look at this article highlighting the top 10 best cars for graduates, with the #NissanVersa making the list! If the Versa is a bit small for your post-graduate life, I promise our Nissan and INFINITI lineup has something that fits! #NissanEmployee #NissanProud

Congratulations to everyone who got what they wanted from their exam results today However, this post is not for you... I want to reach out to those who DID NOT get what they wanted, or needed, to take that next step. You might feel right now that your world has caved in - it hasn’t. You might feel that you have let everyone down - you haven’t. You might feel you are a failure - you are not. Now is the time to take a step back and take a deep breath. Take your time, don’t make hasty decisions. I turned 49 earlier this year (that makes me ancient in your books!) It’s not easy, and for you right now, it’s probably worse than it was for me due to the pressures of social media and seeing only posts of congratulations for those who have done well. You may feel jealousy, frustration, maybe even a little bit of anger. for me, Exams and my brain do not work, and whilst I did okay in my GCSE, it's was work and people after school who really helped to guide me in what I am good at and what I like doing. I joined the Royal Navy (not saying you have to do this!) and traveled a lot; I studied extra exams whilst traveling and ended up on the shopfloor of Jaguar Cars in Birmingham, working and studying engineering. The next took me to BMW MINI in Oxford, and I had strong mentors who, like me, enjoyed the pace of automotive engineering and inspired me to be bold and stand up for what I believed in. The world of quality took me when I returned from traveling (again) into motorsport and supply chains... I loved the corporate world, but now I have a young family and run my own business. You can do anything you want to do, too. I didn't do A levels but now have a Masters and my own business... You are only 17/18, trust me it's young - what you do from here on in has yet to be written. Take some advice from someone who has been there. If your results are not what you wanted or needed, it is not the end; it can be the beginning of something new and better for you. This can be your time. Grasp it with both hands. Borrowed words from @EskyRepair on FB as they captured the sentiment of how I feel but added my story... #thestartofanewbegining
