Interesting, I have always suspected a strong relationship between hectorite clay genesis and hydrothermal fluid upflow.

Following up on my previous post, I would like to highlight the usefulness of Yellowbrick library's 'ClassPredictionError' plot. This plot allows for an easy analysis of predicted facies against actual facies, identifying incorrectly categorized facies and their distribution. By utilizing this tool, one can detect problematic features and address them accordingly. #reservoircharacterization #geology #YellowbrickLibrary

As the subducted Farallon plate approached the central United States (circa 75 mya), would this have rejuvenated activity along previously existing crustal-scale features. Mantle xenoliths from Kansas and Arkansas have been dated to ~60mya.
