Regularly get asked "what is Kudzu Software gonna do after InfoPath is gone?". To which I excitedly reply "Celebrate!" because we didn't start Kudzu to be the "InfoPath replacement" company. Converting InfoPath to anything wasn't even on our initial product roadmap. I always stressed "surface area, not systems" and while InfoPath replacement is a decent-sized opportunity with the bonus of a ticking clock (...the same can be said about Nintex modernization), it's a system replacement that typically doesn't cover a large surface area within an organization. It also obviously has a limited lifespan as a business opportunity...the clock stops ticking. The largest, by far, surface area in need of modernization and automation within most organizations is PDFs...spanning multiple systems that generate, host, consume, and process PDFs. They're also largely not compliant with any accessibility standard in practice today. Kudzu can move those user experiences to the same modern low and no code platforms we support for InfoPath replacement efforts while improving accessibility in the process. And this problem will still be with us long after InfoPath is gone and all Nintex on-prem customers have modernized. Imagine taking any PDF (non-fillable, fillable, saved image, or even XFA), reading them into Kudzu where it recommends some contrast changes, accessibility labeling, some new fields or changes to existing fields (...text box to drop down with choices) and in a few more clicks you have fillable forms/apps sitting on top of SharePoint lists or Dataverse tables. 718 days to be exact...513 if you don't want to find yourself converting InfoPath forms on weekends and holidays. ...and don't forget about data and records management. XML documents in a Form Library need to be converted and you can't hand legal some metadata, you have to give them a form...preferably one they can assert has not been altered.
