Today marks National Supply Chain Day in the United States, and we're taking this opportunity to celebrate and highlight our Green Supply Chain (GSC). 🌍 At Winvic, we collaborate closely with our GSC to develop innovative and sustainable product solutions. We're constantly researching new construction methods and technologies, focusing on carbon and energy-efficient materials. Our primary objective is to minimise the embodied carbon emissions across the entire lifecycle of our projects. Our 'One Team' approach enables us to work collaboratively to measure, reduce, and, when necessary, offset the embodied carbon emissions associated with each Net Zero project we undertake. 🤝 Bi-annual GSC workshops focus on how to make Net Zero a reality by sharing ideas for carbon reduction measures. These have amplified collaboration, enhancing the development of innovative and sustainable product solutions through researching new methods of construction and technologies with carbon and energy-efficient materials. At the #AGD2024, we were honoured by the presence of H.E. Vice President Dr. Philip Mpango. Reflecting on this year’s theme, "2050… Let’s Go," Dr. Mpango urged the CEOrt to deepen its commitment to unlocking the potential of Tanzania’s youth. He emphasised the importance of addressing youth unemployment, empowering the next generation to harness modern technologies, and supporting research and development (R&D) initiatives, alongside the establishment of technology incubation centres to accelerate the transfer of innovative solutions. Dr. Mpango further reaffirmed Tanzania’s commitment to global climate goals, noting that climate change currently costs the nation 2-3% of its GDP annually. Acknowledging the CEOrt’s focus on business sustainability, he called for stronger efforts to drive innovative solutions and partnerships that align businesses with national climate objectives.
