Today I had the opportunity to address the lateral entry students of the engineering departments, acknowledging the unique challenges they face joining directly into the second year of their studies. Coming from a diploma background, students often find themselves adapting to a different mindset and learning environment a bit challenging but I highlighted the importance of this transition. Also, emphasized that engineering is not just about implementation of solutions rather a comprehensive process involving Analysis, Design, Implementation, and Testing. Students were encouraged to focus particularly on the Design phase, as it plays a critical role in solving complex engineering problems. Moving forward from a diploma-oriented approach, they were urged to build a strong foundation in analysis and design, which will set them on a path to innovation and success. The need for continuous upskilling during their academic journey was also insisted. Recognizing the challenges of starting late, we assured students of the academic flexibilities available to them, such as registering for fewer subjects to ensure they progress at a comfortable pace. Finally, the importance of reaching out for guidance, whether from peers, faculty, or mentors, to navigate challenges and stay on the right path was stressed upon. Very first engineering project completed for my university degree!

We have 8 HOURS of Class daily and 85% Attendance Criteria in our Engineering College!! 💥🫨😲 We have a very strict attendance criteria of maintaining 85% attendance. 🥹 💥 More than 2 × Number of credits absent would result in gradeback. 💥And, more than 4 × Number of credits absent would result in debar. Attendance is mostly taken daily by Professors, even in the 8 A.M. classes. 🥲 8 HOURS of class timing is: ✨ Classes - 8 A.M. to 12 noon ✨ Lunch break - 12 noon to 1:15 P.M. ✨ Classes - 1:15 P.M. to 5:15 P.M. If we have theory classes in the morning slots then we have a laboratory class in the afternoon or vice versa. 📖 ✨ But, we've a flexible schedule, weekly 2-3 days we've 8 hours of classes and rest days we've 4 hours of classes. 💯 (Saturday and Sunday are holidays) P. S. Engineering Colleges have a hectic schedule. 🥹🥲 P. P. S. 8 A.M. wali classes ke lie uthne ka bhi man nhi krta, par attendance ke lie jaana padta. 🫠😓
