Festivals can bring a mix of emotions, and sometimes, Diwali doesn’t feel as bright as we hope it will. If the festive cheer feels a bit distant this year, know that it’s okay. ✨ Remember, even a small beam of light, whether it’s a quiet moment, a call with a friend, or simply taking some time for yourself can help brighten the day. Take things one step at a time, and know we are here if you need an extra hand. Happy Diwali from Guiding Lights, just as you are. 🎊

"Happy Diwali cleaning to all! 🎆 Diwali isn’t just about lights and sweets, it’s about bringing positivity to our homes and ourselves. But with all the cleaning, organizing, and cooking, it can get tiring, right? Ladies, how are you managing it all? For me, it's all about keeping the energy up! I play lots of happy and devotional songs, go online shopping for decor and some treats for myself, and, most importantly, I’ve told my family to handle their own dinner! 😅 I prepare only breakfast and lunch. Trying to prepare some sweets at home. (Bas itna hi ho pata h 🤣) How are you keeping up with the Diwali hustle? Share your tips!

Diwali is a time of joy, but it can also be a time of impact. What if every diya we light could also brighten someone else's life? This festival supports the livelihoods of countless families, from artisans making earthen lamps to farmers growing marigold flowers. Buying local is about making conscious choices, and it is not that difficult. For instance, many houses around us are covered with plastic marigold flowers that look real. If only those were real marigold flowers, it could change the lives of millions of people whose livelihoods depend on such festivals. These small decisions create a positive ripple effect that strengthens our entire economy. Let’s make this Diwali about real impact. By choosing local, we light up lives and create prosperity that shines far beyond our homes. That’s the true spirit of celebration- uplifting our community while we celebrate with our loved ones. Happy Diwali 🪔 [video via komthong]

As we celebrate Diwali, let's not be swayed by self-proclaimed environmentalists who suddenly appear, decrying crackers. If they're genuinely eco-conscious, why not oppose noise pollution from New Year's fireworks and cricket matches too? Let's enjoy Diwali responsibly, without lecturers who only speak up once a year. Hypocrisy has no place in our festivities! #HappyDiwali #Sustainability #ConsistencyMatters"
