#classic #classicalmusic #piano #playlist #chopin #scherzo #ballad Frederick Chopin's Four Scherches is a single-movement piece for a solo piano composed between 1833 and 1843. They are often connected with Chopin's four ballads composed around the same time. These works are examples of large-scale autonomous music that is constructed within a classical framework but goes beyond the existing expressive and technical limitations. Unlike the classical model, the musical form adopted by Chopin uses a lot of "gestures of despair and demonic energy," not elements of humor or surprise.

Here's a lovely review of the Mear & Gray OM18 (modelled after the Martin OM18 from 1930) https://lnkd.in/eaQERaja
Over the weekend the Pre-production Mear & Gray guitar (the one I have played a couple of times on LinkedIn) was reviewed by Tom Sands and Tony Polecastro and, frankly, I am blown away by what they said. Tom is probably one of the best (if not the best) luthiers in the world, and Tony is a guitar aficionado and player with a YouTube following of over 500,000. The full video is here https://lnkd.in/dY2gT9YJ where you can see other instruments they have reviewed.

#classic #bach #brandenburg #concerto #johnn #sebastian Trumpet[6] and recorder, oboe, and violin are included in the solo group (Concertino), and the ensemble group (Ripieno) is composed of the current five parts and the whole bass composition (the trumpet is omitted from the second movement). The movement composition is a typical three-movement movement, which is fast-slow-fast. Unlike No. 1, which shows a somewhat loose counterpoint skill, here and there, a complex fugue, which is considered an essential element of Bach's music, is presented here and there. The role of the solo group is also much more colorful and colorful than that of No. 1, which is suitable for competitively showing the competence of soloists.

#classic #classicalmusic #playlist #piano #collection #chopin #etude #ballad Chopin composed a total of 27 songs of etude. Chopin etude is a song called piano textbooks and is an essential course for piano students, majors, and pianists. In other words, it is in the most basic and important position in the piano major. The reasons why Chopin's etude is so important are as follows. First, it is a practice song of Chopin, a pianist who achieved a major innovation in piano technology in the Romantic era, so it contains important techniques in piano. Second, it is a musical performance that is both a practice song. The genre of etude, that is, a practice song, existed before Chopin as a practice stage for playing other songs. However, Chopin instilled the musical aspect as well as the value as a practice song through his genius of practice songs, which were merely mechanical practice. Thanks to this, Chopin's etude gained value as an independent song and became a song that could be presented to a concert. It is also under the influence of Chopin's etude that the etude of later composers, who can be said to have been composed for performance rather than practice, later appeared. In modern times, a kind of essential course that anyone who wants to major in piano must play with Beethoven's piano sonata. It is difficult enough and is selected as an entrance exam song every year because one of the discrimination is certain.

Performance Samples have once again done fantastic work with one of their newest releases, Pacific Solo Strings 🧙🏻♂️ The Motion Tremolos especially on Violin are mind-blowingly good, and probably an industry first? Not surprisingly the Legatos, Spiccatos, and Marcatos are fantastic as well, with great dynamics, realism, and playability. I wish the legatos also had a softer and delicate dynamic lower end to them as it would pair beautifully with the powerful top end. But with the approach they took, it's well-balanced. I also really enjoy how they do Pizzicatos with a softer, puffier, gentler sound. In some previous releases the amount or density of the reverberation has been a bit much to my taste, so I'm happy to see that quality lessen in this release. It is now only in certain articulations where it gets a bit overbearing, but again, it does come down to taste, style, and preference. The first module in the VISTA II series brings you a sympathetic resonance-featuring solo cello legato 🧙🏻♂️ In typical Performance Samples fashion, it gives tremendous playability, realism, and expressiveness to your cello legato lines. In terms of the new sympathetic resonance, you can hear certain fullness and cohesion when playing interval transitions. I also appreciate all the small noises and 'byproducts' of playing and recording that add to the soulfulness and realism. I spent a good chunk of time reading through the VISTA II series background to better understand the big picture and how it relates to the pricing, but I'm still undecided until I check out the full series with all of its libraries. 149 dollars (full price) for a single instrument with a single articulation and one dynamic can be a tough ask for many, but of course it comes down to what utility it provides you in relation to the investment. What is for sure is that PS gives tremendous intro pricing discounts, especially when loyalty discounts are added, provided you've bought a qualifying product before. So do take advantage of that in case this is to your liking! Music for better focus? Over the last year, I have noticed that I can focus better and work faster when I listen to electronic music - like the one below. It's the latest gem I have discovered. This is especially true for longer stretches of focused work on texts or building a structure for a website. The music energizes me and carries me through the tasks. “The right choice of music, such as instrumental or ambient music, can help block out distractions, improve concentration, and maintain attention during study sessions.” This quote is from an article on "The Benefits of Listening to Music When Studying" published by the University of Maryland. I will put a link to it in the comments. Do you listen to music while you're working or studying? And if so, to what kind? Have a wonderful weekend - hopefully with good music! https://lnkd.in/e5qMvrRP #musicforwork #workbetter #tips #workbehavior #productivity
