Education System Alert: A Call for Change As a dedicated math teacher, it's deeply disappointing to see students struggling with basic concepts. Education should be more than just memorizing facts and passing exams—it's about truly understanding the material and applying it in real-life scenarios. Seeing college students unable to solve fundamental math problems is a wake-up call for us all. We need to shift our focus from rote learning to conceptual understanding. What changes do you think are necessary in our education system to address this issue? Who do you believe is responsible for this gap? Let's spark a conversation and work together to improve our education system! #EducationReform #TeachingMath #ConceptualLearning #EducationMatters #MathEducation #StudentSuccess #EducationalExcellence #FutureOfEducation

In many NYC schools, literacy curriculum is often prioritized. But in doing so, math scores have taken a hit. In fact, only 18% of the city’s fourth graders were proficient in math, according to last year’s scores. I am deeply concerned that our youth are not receiving the well-rounded education they deserve. At the same time, we know the solutions: with comprehensive resources and coursework, better support for educators, and enthusiasm for the subject matter, education professionals can turn things around. Almost agreed to this coz it's TRUE for the most of the students studying in traditional academic bachelor's course‼️ But whether this situation is entirely true for engineering students in our country and others who appear in the competitive entrance examinations to pursue their careers in the sphere of research other than technical courses, cannot be said without the proper survey on this. #mathbasics #mathematics #professionaldegreecourse #strugglewithbasics #backlogs #educationsystem #change #mathcareer #entranceexams

This new report by Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard University and The Educational Opportunity Project (EOP) at Stanford University reveals data showing that elementary and middle school students recovered about one-third of the original loss in math and one-quarter of the loss in reading. While these gains are historic, the researchers found that students are still not where they should be. Learn what steps researchers recommend schools take, including informing parents if their child is below grade level in math or reading. #LiteracyGains #K12Education
