For resorts and hotels aiming to captivate both global Gulf travelers and art aficionados, transforming your spaces into vibrant showcases for both local and international art can set you apart. This approach not only elevates the guest experience but also positions your property as a dynamic cultural hub, offering an immersive exploration into the world of art. Curating an Artistic Oasis: - Gallery Spaces within Hotels: Dedicate spaces within your property to function as art galleries, featuring rotating exhibitions that highlight the work of emerging and established artists. This initiative turns every stay into an opportunity for guests to engage with compelling artworks. - Local and International Collaborations: Foster collaborations with artists and galleries to bring diverse art forms to your guests. From traditional paintings and sculptures to contemporary multimedia installations, offer a platform that celebrates artistic diversity and innovation. - Art-Inspired Guest Experiences: Beyond static displays, organize interactive experiences such as artist-led workshops, gallery tours, and talks. These engagements allow guests to delve deeper into the art, understanding the techniques, inspirations, and stories behind the creations. Enhancing Your Resort’s Appeal: - Themed Accommodations: Design art-themed rooms or suites, where the decor is inspired by the works of featured artists, providing guests with a unique and immersive living space that celebrates creativity. - Art Concierge Services: Offer concierge services dedicated to art enthusiasts, providing expert guidance on the local art scene, including recommendations for gallery visits, art events, and private viewings. - Promoting Artistic Talent: Support the arts by not only showcasing artists' work but also facilitating purchases. This support extends the cultural impact of your initiative and provides tangible support to the artistic community. Marketing Your Artistic Venue: Utilize targeted marketing to highlight your hotel’s role as an art-focused destination. Showcase the range of artistic experiences available, from the art displayed within your walls to the cultural activities guests can partake in. Highlighting stories of artists and behind-the-scenes looks at the curation process can further engage potential visitors, positioning your hotel as a must-visit destination for those seeking a fusion of luxury accommodation and cultural enrichment. By integrating art into the fabric of your hotel, you create a space that not only offers relaxation and luxury but also enriches the minds and souls of your guests, making each visit a memorable journey through the vibrant world of art. #ArtfulJourneys #GalleryHotels #CulturalHospitality

Hotel art keeps getting better, thanks to people like Talenia Phua Gajardo 潘冠铮 and Kim Tay of The Artling and bold hoteliers like Arnaud Champenois of Belmond who know the value that good art brings. More on the evolution of hotel art in my latest piece for Travel + Leisure ✨
Thank you so much Kissa Castañeda for the mentions of our various projects in Travel + Leisure Co.! ❤️ “We’ve seen a huge shift over the last five years in hospitality groups becoming more engaged and interested in integrating visual art into their spaces. It’s no longer treated as mere ‘décor,’ but as a serious and integral element of a brand’s identity,” says Talenia Phua Gajardo, CEO and co-founder of The Artling, an art and design consultancy with an online gallery. “Many brands feel it’s no longer a nice-to-have feature but an essential one—sometimes even crucial to the success of a venue." Art is no longer just a finishing touch in the hospitality industry. A recent survey from Booking.com found that 75% of travelers prefer hotels with a unique sense of place, where local culture and art are embedded in the design. Hotels that understand this have set the standard for incorporating art to elevate the guest experience. In Dubai, hotels like the Bulgari Resort have mastered the art of storytelling through design. Their public spaces feature custom installations and curated art pieces that reflect the opulence and creativity of the region. The iconic One&Only Royal Mirage offers a similar experience, blending traditional Arabian architecture with contemporary art, creating a visual narrative that connects guests to the local culture. For travelers, it’s not just about luxury—it’s about being surrounded by beauty that speaks to the heart of Dubai. Across the globe in New York City, brands like The Public Hotel and The NoMad have turned art into a focal point. The Public, for example, boasts an art-driven atmosphere with rotating exhibits and digital installations, turning the hotel into a living gallery. The NoMad Hotel brings a Parisian-inspired design into its Manhattan setting, showcasing art that mirrors its sophisticated yet eclectic vibe. These hotels prove that art is not just an accessory but a core part of their identity. Art doesn’t just enhance aesthetics. It creates stories that resonate with guests long after they’ve checked out. In fact, business travelers opting for "bizcations" are increasingly drawn to hotels that offer enriching experiences. By surrounding them with meaningful art, hotels can encourage guests to stay longer, explore more, and return often. At Atelier & Stories, we’ve been curating art and exclusive design experiences for over 15 years, partnering with top hotels and designers to bring spaces to life. Our passion lies in creating environments where art speaks, telling stories that connect guests to the place they’re in. Unlike traditional artworks on canvases placed in air-conditioned galleries, street art; from graffiti to murals, it is well found on the streets. You can see it on gutters, lampposts, demolished walls, parking lots, pavements, and basically anywhere. The pieces are often done late at night, when the police or guards aren't around to reprimand the artist for spray-painting on the walls. Street art still bears the stigma of being equated with vandalism. However, the local street artists prove that art goes beyond art fairs and exhibits, and even building owners, restaurateurs, and cultural agencies have commissioned them to design otherwise bare walls. To spot them, you should be on the lookout while driving around Metro Manila. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Imagine your next vacation with five-star service and support every step of the way. 5 things you can learn (and use!) for your FEWO-rental from a boutique hotel in Gdansk (Danzig) - to make your guests’ experience even better ✨ 🏡 1. A thoughtful welcome wagon Even a small gift for your guests can make a big difference - and lets them know that you are a host who cares. You don't have to break the bank - a bottle of wine, local produce, or even a box of chocolates will do just fine. 2. Let there be cozy light! But not too much light! Scandinavians are masters of organizing appropriate lighting in interiors. The selection of slightly weaker bulbs, or the ability to dim the light will make it possible for everyone to create a cozy atmosphere suitable for relaxation. 3. A dash of luxury in bed The easiest way to make your guests feel like they're in a luxury hotel? Hotel bedding. Slightly heavier, thicker and more crisp than a set from Ikea, it gives a sense of uniqueness and high quality. 4. A local art curator Looking for pictures and prints to help fill the walls in your FEWO? Opt for local artists. By doing so, you will not only create a unique, memorable space, but also support local artists. 5. A reviews’ collector Make it really easy for your guests to review your property. A small reminder by check-in or check-out goes a long way. The more legit reviews your FEWO has, the better, as it makes it easier for new people to discover your property.
