To determine if any obstacle detected by the LiDAR can collide with the car, I have been working on a project that, based on the car's trajectory calculated from the Ackerman configuration of the steering wheel, uses the Separating Axis Theorem (SAT) to draw a zone for collision detection and mark objects that interfere with the car's path. What is Visual SLAM? Visual SLAM is a method used in robotics and computer vision to create a map of an environment while simultaneously determining the robot's position within that environment, using visual information from cameras. Consider a drone navigating through a forest to deliver a package. The drone uses its onboard camera to capture images of the surroundings. Visual SLAM processes these images to map the forest path and accurately estimate the drone's position, ensuring it follows the correct route and avoids obstacles.
