What is behind the investment of Saudi over the Asian Tour? Why International Series is growing fast?
Much more relevant than LIV Golf.
Why something existing gets more #value?
1. Growth of opportunities to compete in #Asia.
2. Young #talents will come up much faster and will grow the game in Australia, Asia and Africa. You atract more spectators with better fields, this will generate more impact and more revenue, more atractive for possible venues and governments ( tourist boards destinations as Vietnam, Thailand or China, Saudi etc etc..).
3. There is no need to play DP World Tour if you are in Asia, cost of travelling is higher for Asians, plus Visas are difficult to get. Also other talents players are establishing in those countries and supporting the country and local tours ( Thailand, Japan , India, Korea ) .
4. The moment the synergies still growing Asian Tour will be bringing more and more golfers to the golf spectrum ( amateurs are the most important). Spain is the example. Universities and schools will open golf programmes with no need to go to America.
Smart move.
Always make big steps and keep on going.
5. Next will be UAE and Saudi joining. ( that will happen). A growth product and a new market with unlimited budget.
6. . The most important thing that LIV is missing is a great TV or streaming contract.
7. Tech in Asia is far more developed than in Europe; AI will step in now. Is here right now on the golf industry?
8. Population (a much bigger target). The cake is so big and small percentage of people play the game.
You will see more and more players competing in Asia in the next few years.

I've worked in Saudi as a Golf Manager, and involved on the Asian Tour. Great things are about to come.
Time goes fast though.
