Quick LinkedIn Headline Tips I use myself: - Unlike most social media where your headline describes who you are now, on LinkedIn your profiles headline need to describe what you want to be hired to do. If you work in retail but want to get hired as a software developer, don't set your title to Cashier at Walmart. Instead your experience section is for showing everything you've done and/or do. - Use keywords. If your a game developer that uses Unity, your headline needs to be something like Unity Developer | Game Developer. - Don't leave it as a generic name like Unity Developer. Specify want kind and what role. For me that would be Senior Unity Developer | Game Developer | VR Developer. - Lastly be specific. Don't include something like Unity Developer and Construction Worker. Your title needs to be geared towards exactly what you wanting to be hired for without adding confusion. At the end of the day, think about what recruiters are looking for when they use linkedin recruiter to search for candidates or come across your profile in some way. Is your profile extremely clear about what you want to be hired for? If it is and they have a job to fill similar to your profile, you will most likely have made it past step 1 which is getting noticed and landing that recruiter screening. Yay! #linkedintips #profileheader #jobsearch #jobseekers

I post any job listings I see to help get them circulated for those who've been laid off, but I gotta highlight this potentially shameless one (may not even be useful for my US connections if you're really desperate for a job because it looks like they won't hire internationally). I feel like the listed salaries in this whole page are shockingly low even for the UK? Any senior Unity C# programmers willing to be paid, at minimum, £40,000 annually? Anyone in the UK able to verify if these are low for a senior position in this field? To compare, that's about $51,261.20 annually for a senior position. I'm sure most junior game dev positions are worth more than that so what the heck is this?? #jobs #joblistings #lowsalary #gamedevelopment #phasmophobia #kineticgames #careers

Not sure where to go with your game dev job search? Ask yourself: What specific job do you want? (for example, Unity Mobile Game Developer) Does your portfolio, resume and linkedin profile all reflect that you are the person for that specific job? Are you applying for and networking with people at the companies with these jobs and similar jobs? If you’re not doing any of that, then there's your starting point. From there you will simply refine and repeat. Make a better resume, get better at networking, etc. #gamesindustry #growth #mindset #careercoaching

3 years ago, I left my home country and began a new, challenging journey. 🌍 It’s been a year since I lost my job, and this time has truly tested me. Over the past year, I’ve worked as a freelancer, collaborated with different teams, and even created and published my own games for Android and WebGL. 🎮 But the last four months have been the hardest. My passport is expiring soon, and I’ve been trying to figure out what to do next. I’ve visited three countries, searching for ways to legalize my status while looking for a stable job as a Unity developer. Honestly? It’s been incredibly tough. 😓 Sometimes I felt completely lost. There were so many rejections—job applications that didn’t work out, failed plans to find legal solutions, and even financial struggles that left me in debt. I reached a point where I felt hopeless, questioning everything and losing faith in life itself. But even in those darkest moments, I refused to stop. I kept going. Every day, I worked on my projects, sent out more applications, and pushed myself to improve, little by little, and tried to become a better version of myself. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from all of this, it’s that you can’t give up. Sometimes, life throws challenges at you that are completely out of your control. Even when things feel impossible, taking just one small step forward can make all the difference. I know there are others out there facing similar struggles, and I want you to know—you’re not alone ❤️ Keep moving forward, even when it feels hard. You’re stronger than you think, and better days will come. And if you’re looking for a Unity developer who’s ready to learn, grow, and work hard, I’d love to connect! Let’s chat about your projects and how I can contribute. #LifeJourney #UnityDeveloper

🎮 Why Hiring a Professional Game Development Studio is Essential for Your Project’s Success 🎯 A number of people can participate in the game development process, including designers, programmers, content creators, sound engineers, and animators. Game development teams can consist of anything from one person to hundreds of people, and the process can take months or even years depending on the complexity of the game. A game developer creates a concept of parallel reality and turns that concept into an interactive game. Depending on the complexity and size of the game, multiple people can participate. 💡 https://lnkd.in/enngebdR #GameDevelopment #IndieGameDev #GamingIndustry #GameDesign #GameDevStudio

In a day and age where Games as a Service has in many cases caused teams and production to lose sight of milestones and the goalpost is constantly moving, we have become disconnected with those whom we used to identify as closers - a retro waterfall lingo for getting the job done right despite all hangups. In my last years at Ubisoft Osaka I can guarantee one staff in particular was steady and consistent as night turning to day, rejecting feature creep, reinforcing thematic coherence on concepts, all the while making sure subordinates voices were heard in a space where they can often be drowned, sinking team morale along with it. Additionally as a Japanese native she was pivotal in cross communication between requests from the SF Studio being heard and understood to upper management across the ocean, no loose ends, all progress. Working as a foreign national subordinate (me) is brutal when there is any miscommincation locally however when your lead (her) is also a foreign national across the water and its the same language and culture of commuination the gaps can be closed and needs can be met. Nothing but solid consistency from beginning to end. No matter the location, If you are working on a project which is in need of a strong Art Director who exhibits every single one of these traits please look no further than Yuki Takahashi san. With high standards, daily mentoring and advice, coupled with very staunch encouragement and absolutely static deadlines those of us working on XDefiant under her lead could not have advanced as far as we had without her presence. If she has not already been committed to any new line of work, prospective teams NOW is your chance to ensure a rock solid strategy for shipping your story or content driven titles tactfully and efficiently, closing each and every aspect one by one without fail. Do not miss this opportunity. #XDefiant #Ubisoft #ArtDirector #Fulltime #Staff #Hiring #Recommendation #Bilingual
