I love the chats I have with my 3 year old niece. Me: Can I drive, please? Evie: NO, YOU CANT!!! Me: But why not? Evie: Your legs don’t work. Me: But what about Addy (her name for Adam Sheppard), he doesn’t have legs but he drives. Evie: 🤯 So today, the three year old learned about hand controls. This is how you build inclusive societies, by exposing children to all different types of people. It normalises diversity and their natural curiosities mean they build knowledge and acceptance of difference. That’s why I love speaking to kids, there’s never any malice or judgement in their questions, just curiosity and ultimately acceptance. #Disability #Acceptance #Inclusion #NormalisingDifference #WheelchairUser

We often feel pressure to be the best at everything, but it's important to remember that it's okay to not excel at everything. It's okay to be a "B+" at things.
