Two Cultures, One Spirit 🇸🇬🤝🇮🇳 Jiayou! 加油 and Jayaho! जय हो ! Its fascinating..These 2 words don't just sound very similar. They even mean similar things -- did any one realize that? Seeing Prime Minister Narendra Modi meet with Prime Minister Lawrence Wong got me thinking about how much India and Singapore have in common. And it’s beautifully captured in two powerful words from each culture: Jiayou! 加油 (from Chinese 🇨🇳) means “Keep going! Stay strong! Don’t give up!” 💪 It’s a cheer for perseverance and unity, urging us to push through with energy and determination. In India, we say Jayaho! जय हो, which translates to “Victory be yours!” 🏆 It’s a celebration of triumph, a shout for success, and a reminder to keep striving for greatness. Immortalized in India's national anthem and more recently in this Oscar winning song https://lnkd.in/geb8d5YR Both phrases reflect a shared human spirit—the drive to overcome challenges, lift each other up, and achieve something amazing together! 🌏💫 As a proud and patriotic Singaporean of Indian origin, the world would be a betterplace if Singapore's efficiency and world-class discipline combines with India's sagacity and innate inclusivity as this picture encapsulates. If this spirit can be spread to every nook and corner of the world and its people adopt this oceanically broad but simple mindset, it could be a first step towards change for the better. In today’s world, that spirit of resilience and togetherness is more important than ever. Let’s keep cheering each other on: Jiayou! Jayaho!! 🔥👊 What do you think. Lets do our part to help get such messages of unity spread more virally than the malicious ones. Add your comment. His Excellency Lawrence Wong, Narendra Modi ji #Peakism
