Early detection of lung cancer saves lives. Low-dose CT is a safe and painless screening recommended for individuals who meet eligibility criteria for being at high-risk of developing lung cancer. The cancer screening work group within the National Partnership has compiled the following resources to help cancer coalitions in promoting and supporting members with lung cancer screening efforts. https://bit.ly/4exlNbN #TAPintoCancerControl #tapforlungcancer #gwccTAP #LungCancer

Today is World Lung Cancer Day, a time to raise awareness and support those affected by lung cancer, the leading cause of cancer deaths worldwide. At Freenome, we are developing blood tests to detect lung cancer early, when it is most treatable. The PROACT LUNG Study is intended to validate the clinical performance of a blood-based test for the early detection of lung cancer. We are currently enrolling as many as 20,000 individuals who meet specific criteria. Together, we can drive significant progress in early cancer detection. #WLCD24 #EarlyDetection #Freenome

Lung cancer screening can save lives, but for some reason people at risk for the disease aren't doing it. Less than 6% of American eligible for lung cancer screening actually get screened. That compares to 72% for colon cancer and 76% for breast cancer. Ask your doctor about CyPath Lung https://lnkd.in/g7nRUkE2 and how it can complement screening to improve the detection of early-stage lung cancer. #cypathlung #LungCancer #lungcancerscreening #lungcancerawareness

Early diagnosis matters. According to the National Cancer Institute, when Lung cancer is detected in Stage 1, the 5-year survival rate can be greater than 90%. Lung cancer screening, which can detect the disease at an earlier stage when it’s more curable, can help save lives. #NoahMedical #GalaxySystem #LungCancer #EarlyDiagnosisMatters Learn more about the impact of early diagnosis: Roadblocks to Lung Cancer Screening: Why Early Detection Is Still Falling Short https://hubs.ly/Q02Yq85K0

Annual lung cancer screenings using low-dose computed tomography (also referred to as LDCT) reduce lung cancer deaths by up to 20%, yet less than 6% of eligible Americans get screened routinely, according to the American Cancer Society. Early detection saves lives; if you meet the criteria, we encourage you to schedule a lung cancer screening at Saint Peter’s this #LungCancerAwarenessMonth.
