Mainstreaming gender-smart investments, training women in new agricultural and forecasting technologies, and using socially-inclusive approaches to disseminating climate-smart tools and services are great opportunities to increase resilience and promote equality. #Womenday

I watched my grandmother's weathered hands nurture seedlings, with her wisdom etched in the lines of her face, yet hunted by the devastation of a locust swarm devouring entire fields. The despair in her eyes transcends borders and resonates with the struggles of millions of women across Africa. Women make up a significant portion of the agricultural workforce globally, especially in developing countries, yet are the most marginalized group hit hardest by poverty, inequality and climate change. Climate smart agriculture represents powerful approach to empower women farmers, increase their resilience against climate change, and promote gender equality in the agricultural sector. Climate smart agriculture plays a crucial role in increasing women's resilience against climate change through improved techniques,increased access to resources,financial security. Yet its not without giants that are etched through an economic and systematic ordering including but not limited to: gender-inclusive trainings, land rights, acess to credits and markets. Addressing these specific challenges women face and ensuring their inclusion in all aspects of CSA implementation, we can create a more sustainable and equitable food system for the future.
