The Emmy Awards, set for September 15th, celebrate excellence in the television industry. The event presents a valuable opportunity for brands to connect with target audiences by aligning with characters or actors. Television's influence extends beyond the screen, with popular characters becoming cultural icons. By associating with these figures, brands can drive engagement, build community, and form authentic connections with consumers through characters whose traits align with their brand identity. An MN2S partnership demonstrates how well characters can align with brands. Creed Bratton, known for his role on “The Office”, collaborated with Skittles for the "MFFLP The Rainbow" campaign, using humor to encourage Canadians to enjoy life's simple pleasures. LeVar Burton, celebrated for his roles in “Reading Rainbow” and “Star Trek”, moderated a NASA panel, reflecting his dedication to education and diversity. Aligning brands with characters or actors can drive engagement and form authentic connections. The upcoming 2024 Emmy Awards provide an opportunity for businesses to partner with actors whose stories resonate with their values and audience, creating impactful and emotionally-driven marketing campaigns. Have you ever wondered what happens when the glitz of Cannes takes a backseat to the core of television innovation? 🌟 Attending Mipcom for the first time, I witnessed this intriguing blend of business acumen and creative vitality. Unlike the renowned Cannes Film Festival's red carpet glamour, Mipcom focuses on the dynamic world of television, drawing the architects of our favorite shows—producers, studio executives, and industry thought leaders. This year, amidst the vibrant and lively stalls, a notable figure stood out: British actor David Suchet. Best known for his portrayal of Hercule Poirot, Suchet captivated attendees while promoting his upcoming projects, including "The Au Pair" and "Travels With Agatha Christie With David Suchet." His presence, trumping the absence of A-list celebrities, reminded us of the timeless allure of great storytelling and character work. While Mipcom may lack Hollywood's star-studded sparkle, it's a testament to where the true magic happens—among the creators and decision-makers shaping the future of television. What are your thoughts on industry-focused events versus celebrity-centric ones? How do they each contribute to the entertainment landscape? Let's discuss! 💬👇 #Mipcom #TelevisionIndustry #Cannes #DavidSuchet #EntertainmentIndustry

I have been a proud #Judge for the #GlobalEntertainmentAwards #AMD for four years, and can't wait to watch the 2025 selections, and serve as a judge again in the coming year. If you have a chance to give back to your industry by participating with colleagues from around the world in a meaningful way, I highly recommend it. For me the Global Entertainment Awards is perfect. I am not asked to serve with my expertise as an #EntertainmentAttorney or #FinanceConsultant. Instead I use my knowledge of film and television combined with business skills to weigh in on one of the most important parts of the content cycle: promotional pieces created as trailers, and their effectiveness in captivating potential audience. If no one knows about your film, then they haven't watched it. Instead of strategy and legal work, I get to employ my creative side as both a member of the #EntertainmentBusiness and as a consumer of the series and movies I regularly watch. I strongly urge anyone, given the opportunity, to take on roles in your industry beyond what your actual profession is, as it makes you better at what you do. It also helps to create awareness within your industry of skills outside of typical expectations that can lead to new opportunities. Mostly, I love taking myself out of the headspace that I'm usually in - contracts, negotiations, strategy-and doing something new with colleagues from around the world.

🫶 Purposeful partnerships are what make our world go round, and it seems we’re not alone. Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity's State of Creativity Report has found: "An easier (as opposed to difficult) client-agency relationship has a positive effect on the entire creative development process." Companies that find the client-agency partnership 'easy' report benefits across the strategy, planning, ideation and impact phases, too. It’s why transactional relationships must be on the out, as they pave the way for truly collaborative ones. Swipe for a little look at how our film department puts this into practice with our brilliant partners, Singer Capital Markets 🎥 #Sledge #contentproduction #contentcreation #filmmakers #purposefulpartnerships #creativity

"Magic in the Boardroom: Daring Companies to Care" Hey LinkedIn folks! As Chief Magic Officer at Yellow Global, I've got a story to share. I recently stumbled upon an old Cannes Lions video of David Copperfield that really got me thinking. As a former professional magician (started at 9!), seeing Copperfield speak was like my two worlds colliding – corporate world and magic. Having been at Cannes Lions myself last year, it felt like everything had come full circle. Copperfield talked about storytelling to surprise audiences - and that's exactly what we do at yellow.global. We're a bunch of energetic business guides helping companies find that surprise element in what they're doing. We train them to care beyond profit, using a bit of magic along the way. We take the tricky bits of business - profit, purpose, sustainability - and turn them into something that flows, with an unexpected twist that delights. Here's how we sprinkle magic and surprise on our projects: Dreaming up visions that wow people about caring in business. Cooking up solutions that balance books and care for people/planet - with a surprise factor. Creating experiences that teach the power of caring - and leave people amazed. We encourage companies to: Be brave enough to care - and surprise. Embrace the messy bits - there's magic in chaos. Tell their caring story - with a plot twist. Put on a purposeful show - that leaves the audience in awe. Fancy bringing some magic, purpose, and surprise into your organisation? We're itching to help you uncover the wonder in your brand and dare to care more - in ways that'll amaze everyone. It's funny how an old video can give fresh eyes to our mission. What's inspired you to care more deeply - and surprisingly - lately? #daretocare #magicbusiness #canneslions #marketingmagic https://lnkd.in/e_azQZ9E
