We are delighted that CottonConnect has joined the UN’s ‘Sustainability Pledge’, a call to action for organisations committing to greater traceability and transparency in the garment and footwear sector.   The Pledge lists policies, guidelines, and standards to create a ‘community of practice’ advancing traceability and transparency as catalysts for sustainability and circularity. We’re proud that this now includes TraceBale and details how retailers can map their supply chains and trace raw materials back to their source. We’re thrilled to announce the expansion of our Manufacturer Climate Action Program (MCAP), now engaging over 60 manufacturers in the fight against #climatechange. MCAP empowers manufacturers across the globe to accelerate their decarbonization journeys through science-aligned targets and tangible climate goals. We recently released a #decarbonization roadmap showing that 1,500 manufacturing facilities in nine countries account for 80% of the textile, apparel, and footwear industry’s carbon emissions. Through MCAP, manufacturers are equipped with critical tools and resources to drive sustainable change. The program’s mission is clear: a 45% reduction in GHG emissions by 2030 and net-zero by 2050.
