Australian Future Fuels Leader

GHD have been working closely with the team at Hadean Energy in recent months to support the development of Hadean’s revolutionary Tubular Solid Oxide Electrolysis (tSOE) Technology. Hadean’s technology offers a potential step change in the capital and operating costs associated with hydrogen production. The Hadean cell structure reduces cost and complexity while enhancing serviceability, simplifying the manufacturing process and supporting scalable production. The technology includes a tubular structure which reduces sealing requirements, improving safety and stack longevity. The novel electrode composition improves cell durability and avoids the use of high-cost critical minerals.   Hydrogen remains a critical ‘enabler’ for the production of high-value, low carbon commodities including fuels and critical minerals, and the Hadean technology offers a potential lower cost and higher efficiency system, to be integrated into existing processes.   Importantly, the Hadean technology is an offshoot from CSIRO development and represents an Australian based technology which, through commercialisation, may offer global benefits for low carbon commodity production.   The GHD team are proud to be working with Hadean to support this development program, leveraging the strong existing capability and experience of the GHD team for complex technology commercialisation, engineering and design.
