Since our move to France, we’ve established a tradition of visiting Disneyland every year in early November. In my opinion, it’s a lovely tradition. It feels like stepping into a fairy tale, where you can’t help but feel like a child again, relishing everything around you. But that's not the main point of my post 😉 . Every year, I observe an incredible sales and business model exemplified at Disneyland, particularly how they increase the average transaction value through repeat sales. It would be foolish to miss out on additional revenue when you already have a loyal audience. The emotions run high as you take in all the beauty, making you want to carry a piece of that celebration home with you. That’s why souvenir shops are strategically placed right after every attraction; you pass through them on your way out. After experiencing such positive emotions, it's hard to resist buying a T-shirt or a toy for your child. There’s nothing wrong with this; it’s simply a smart way to leverage repeat sales and enhance business profitability. So, if you haven’t started tracking your customer Lifetime Value (LTV) or your average transaction value, and if you’re not focusing on increasing repeat sales to your existing clients, I strongly recommend setting a plan to work on this. It’s significantly cheaper to engage with current loyal customers than to attract new ones. P.S. In the photo are my husband and our happy son. “When attending one of Queen Elizabeth's state dinners at Windsor Castle, it's hard to imagine the extensive preparation that goes into such an event. The table, that seats 160 people, was made in 1846 and is composed of 68 leaves. It takes two days to set the table, which includes 2,000 pieces of silver-gilt cutlery and 960 glasses. To ensure proper placement, everything on the table is measured with a tape measure, and the chairs are placed exactly 27 inches from the table. The 8,000 piece dish set consists of silver-gilt serving platters and plates. Since each one must be hand washed, dried and polished, it takes 3 weeks to clean the entire set. Each guest has six glasses consisting of a champagne glass for the toast, a red wine and a white wine glass, a water goblet, another champagne glass for dessert and a glass for an after dinner port.
