It feels like Colleen Francis might be stating the obvious here, however we agree that so many people forget to ask the customer what they really want! At GFC we are always encouraging our teams to be closely engaged with the whole client team, not just the few we are working with. As #businessleaders we understand that although opinions may differ as to the next step, there is usually great commonality about destination and capabilities that require enhancing. For #salesleaders it is imperative we recognise each of the elements that a customer believes is important in a solution. This will allow us to differentiate our proposition, even to the point of upselling the basic solution, towards the excitement (wants and needs met together) a customer must feel to say 'yes'. We always need to remember that people buy with emotion and justify the decision with logic. As a sales leader we need to ensure we have the hearts as well as the minds of all members of the deal team.
