A major concern for companies when switching to an “eco alternative” is that performance and quality will be sacrificed. Disposable gloves remain a key part of a health worker's personal protective equipment as COVID levels rise again in many counties. One of the emerging areas of research and development related to #zircon is its use in disposable gloves. #Zirconia particles have been proposed as constituents of elastomers in the fabrication of #gloves; their properties allow not only a durable interaction but also alter the strength and flexibility properties of the material. Anti-bacterial properties have also been introduced into gloves and other apparel by zirconium phosphate.
