To achieve high-quality results, it's important to: Clean the surface thoroughly with high-pressure water jets or air blasting Sandblast the surface to remove rust from reinforcement Keep the surface moist for six hours if it's absorbent Use a 1:3 or 1:4:5 mix ratio of cement to aggregate Use high-quality mortar to increase resistance to weather and chemical attack
