if the number of road cones and associated fixed in place temporary safety bollards that have been hit and demolished on SH1 Selwyn River Bridge (which has a current speed limit of 30km) are indicative of the difficulty drivers down here have keeping a straight line at 30km, then I think perhaps SH1 and the motorway from Rolleston to chch should perhaps be reduced to 20km/hr speed limit, not increased. Come on folks, you are wasting taxpayer money deliberately (at least I hope it's deliberate) driving through these and damaging them.
