Thank you Laila Brock for the gracious offer to attend the premiere of Renee Montgomery's new documentary A Radical Act: Renee Montgomery. The setting of the evening was at the ever-so-historic Tara Theater, which served as the best venue for this inspiring documentary. Renee made history as becoming the first former WNBA player to become both a Co-Owner and Executive of a WNBA team and her story is one for all to listen to and learn from. She's courageous. She's powerful. She believed she could, so she did. Streaming of the documentary begins on October 16th on Roku and is a must watch! A very powerful message here reminding us that we have the choice to focus on what's within our control. It's a key tool worth developing within your mindset. When you focus your energy in this direction, you will make greater progress towards your goals. There will be more opportunities to celebrate each little win along the adventure; and differences will be made. Take a watch and listen to these words and carry them with you through the rest of your life. #ThePowerOfChoice #WithinYourControl #Mindset #HighPerformance

Dilemma in Leadership... Making an inspired decision to do something that, while hard and will upset some, aligns to your core values and what your organization stands for. In our current divisive culture, I'm sure the Toronto Blue Jays organization had to strategize this one big time. Bold and transformational Leadership is always a choice. This organization chose courage over comfort! Mazal Tov to Irene Kurtz and Spencer Horwitz and the Toronto Blue Jays organization.
Last night at the Toronto Blue Jays game, 97-year-old Holocaust survivor Irene Kurtz threw the first pitch. She also shared a heartwarming moment with Spencer Horwitz, a Jewish first and second baseman for the Blue Jays and Team Israel in the World Baseball Classic. An inspiring moment celebrating resilience and community, both on and off the field.

Competition is good.
FERNCO MAN COMPETITION WINNER! Congratulations to Team Lebanon, whose creation received 144 votes & is the winner of our online competition! (Looks like he's pretty happy to have been chosen for this honor!) Team Franklin’s “Super” submission took Second Place with a solid 68 votes. Both Team Greenfield and Team Leesburg did themselves proud with their efforts too, and a great time was had by all the participating staff. This competition has shown what our crews can do when they put their heads together towards a common goal! Well done, all! Thanks to everyone who took the time to vote and give positive feedback. You added a lot of fun and we enjoyed hearing from you! #DrainageSolutionsInc #FerncoMan2024 #OurCrewCameThrough #OhWhatFittingsCanDo

The terrorist attack in New Orleans resonates deeply with every individual, with thoughts and prayers extended to the affected victims and families. Following the tragedy of New Orleans, Fox News made a connection between the attack and their concerns about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). As a clinical and organizational psychologist, as well as a dedicated DEI practitioner, my personal experience during the aftermath of 9/11 remains vivid. En route to Hawaii from Florida on September 11th, 2001, the unfolding events of the day marked a profound moment of sorrow and reflection. After landing in Minneapolis, witnessing the collapse of the second tower on airport monitors, a fellow passenger standing next to me fell to his knees and wept. His loved one was in the second tower. Acts of terrorism take a toll both physically and psychologically. After 911, DEI was leveraged to unite Americans and help us heal! In the wake of 9/11, the power of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) emerged as a unifying force, fostering healing and solidarity among Americans. The "I Am An American" public service announcement became a pivotal tool in diversity training programs, emphasizing the strength found in unity and the diverse fabric of our nation symbolized by the American flag. Now, more than ever, it is essential for those in the moderate majority to bridge the gap between the extremes on the left and the right. DEI is inclusive. It is not the cancel culture. May we raise our voices and come together in unity as we enter 2025. May we heal a fractured nation. Let us strive to embody the spirit of E pluribus unum – out of many, one. #Condolences #Unity #DEI #EPluribusUnum #NewOrleansattack
