Hand in Hand India’s Post

Team Hand in Hand India had the opportunity to attend and participate in the Livelihoods India Summit 2024, a national conference organised by ACCESS Development Services in Partnership with NITI Aayog, that targets about 500 delegates from the livelihoods sector including practitioners, policy makers, private sector, non-governmental organisations, donors, multilateral / bilateral organisations, academicians, researchers and other support organisations from within the country. Our participation in the Session, “From Dreams to Reality: How 2X Lakhpati Didis are Redefining Entrepreneurship”, was marked by a fruitful discussion where 4 women entrepreneurs - Bhagyashree, Pink City Rickshaw Company; Sarla Devi, SHG Member and Entrepreneur; Rupinder Kaur, SHG Member and Entrepreneur; Kumari Priti, Entrepreneur and Community Leader; shared their journey, challenges and optimism, moderated by Dr Madhu Sharan, President, Hand in Hand India. The session showcased the inspiring journey of Lakhpati Didis—dedicated entrepreneurs who transformed challenges into success stories through the power of community support, self-help groups, and unwavering resilience. Their efforts have not only fostered aspirational livelihoods but also strengthened local economies and created employment opportunities. The discussion also delved into the role of digital literacy, skill development, and access to resources in driving women-led growth and empowerment. #HandinHandIndia #HandinHand #hih #HiHI #NGO #india #linkedin #2024 #LivelihoodsIndiaSummit #ACCESS #FightingPoverty #Development #Sustainability #LakhpatiDidi #NITIAayog #NewDelhi
