Everyone is aware of this news .. I wanna just share some ideas so that our society should atleast take action in their own way..I know it is not practically possible for general public to do but atleast each step of our can save many lives in future.Okay, here are some ideas: 1. **Awareness Workshops**: Organize workshops in your community to educate people about consent, gender equality, and the impact of violence. This can help create a more informed society. 2. **Art and Expression**: Encourage local artists to create murals or installations that reflect the issue. Art can be a powerful way to convey messages and keep the conversation going. 3. **Online Petition**: Start an online petition demanding stricter laws or better support systems for victims. This can help mobilize people and show that the issue matters long-term. 4. **Support Groups**: Establish support groups for survivors to share their experiences and find strength in community. This can help in healing and also raise awareness. 5. **Continuous Social Media Campaign**: Create a series of posts that highlight statistics, survivor stories, and ways to help. Regularly updating this can keep the issue in the public eye. Let me know if you want to expand on any of these ideas! Let's join together so that we can at least give justice for the future ones

Men and Boys as Agents of Change Against Gender-Based Violence👬👬 Gender-based violence remains a global challenge that demands the active participation of all genders to eradicate. While much of the focus has rightly been on empowering women and girls, it is crucial to recognize the transformative role that men and boys can play as allies and advocates for change in our society.👫 Men and boys can be agents of change by: 1️⃣ Challenging biased social norms and recognizing harmful gender stereotypes. 2️⃣ Supporting survivors of GBV and amplifying their voices. 3️⃣ Engaging in advocacy initiatives and campaigns promoting gender equality. 4️⃣ Leading by example and modeling healthy and respectful relationships. Men and boys must step forward—not as bystanders, but as active participants who advocate for safe, equitable, and inclusive societies.🫶🏼 By doing so, they not only support women and girls but also pave the way for a world where everyone can thrive.❤️😇 #EndGBV #GenderEquality #MenAndBoysAsAllies #AgentsOfChange #16DaysofActivism #UNiTE

Did you know? Youths are vital drivers of change in the fight against gender-based violence (GBV) and inequality? According to studies, over 60% of young people globally are engaged in social change efforts, and their participation is key to challenging harmful cultural norms and advocating for human rights. By promoting education and awareness, they are helping dismantle the social norms that perpetuate GBV. For example, when youth speak out against gendered violence in media and daily life, they create safer spaces for all. Their involvement is crucial for creating a world where gender equality prevails, and violence against women is eliminated. 🌍 What makes some societies nearly free from sexual violence? Nishkalp Shukla, like always, has something insightful for us, yet again. IN his latest blog for The Dialogue Box, he has analysed Anthropologist Peggy Reeves Sanday’s thought-provoking research which reveals that sexual violence isn’t inevitable—it’s heavily influenced by culture. Through extensive study of societies worldwide, she distinguishes between “rape-prone” and “rape-free” communities, showing that elements like communal values, gender equality, and mutual respect shape societies where violence is virtually nonexistent. This blog takes a closer look at how these cultural foundations make all the difference, challenging conventional beliefs about violence as “human nature.” Sanday’s work points to a path for creating safer, more respectful societies globally. 🔗 Read the full exploration here: https://lnkd.in/d4FRQwHk 👥 Follow us for more insights on pressing social issues.

Happy International Day of the Boy! On this International Day of the Boy, OSAI Foundation isn't just celebrating our boys, we're celebrating changemakers! Through our innovative Gents Corner initiative, we're empowering boys to be part of the solution in the fight for gender justice. Here is why Gents Corner matters: Engaging young minds: We create a safe space for boys to share their stories, experiences, and perspectives on gender equality. Justice for all: We provide support and guidance to boys who may have faced gender-based violence (GBV) or know someone who has. Building a better future: We equip boys with the knowledge and tools to become champions of change, actively working to prevent GBV in their communities. Because real change starts with a conversation. At OSAI Foundation, we believe boys have a critical role to play in creating a world free from gender-based violence. Gender Justice and Human Rights issues comprise both males and females, however, we have paid so much attention to women and girls, and this is for many obvious reasons that women and girls are on the receiving end and bear the brunt of societal ills that leverage on patriarchial nature of the African society. In as much as that has been the case, we are not neglecting the men, the boys whose cultural norms and stereotypes have enabled them to become perpetrators of all forms of gender-based violence. We are also considering them as victims of violence and circumstances 😢 hearing some of their stories both told and untold, you will suddenly realise that they also face gender-based violence in a different subtle way. OSAI FOUNDATION We have a corner called Gent's Corner, where the boys are groomed to understand that they are humans and can cry and pour out and express emotions in a normal way not through their fists or feet or frame. We seek partnerships with other NGOs and INGOs. Let us reach out to this future agent of change. We call out to every young boy and man out there to feel free to reach out, share your stories, be the change, and educate others. Legal frameworks are everywhere pointing out laws that protect, and promote human rights and prosecute perpetrators. The searchlight is on. Don't be a victim of circumstance. Happy International Boy Child Day. We recognise your strengths and weaknesses. We reckon with your efforts to ensure a safe space for all.
