Diabetes, thyroid disorders, tuberculosis, cancer—these diseases grab all the attention, right? Patients are everywhere, so naturally, we and our government focus on them. But trauma? Well, trauma victims often don’t get a second chance. They lose their lives instantly, and before long, even the tears dry up. So we forget about trauma. Out of sight, out of mind, right? But should the government really think this way? A trauma-related death occurs in India every 1.9 minutes. Road traffic accidents alone are increasing at 3% annually, costing us 2-2.5% of GDP. 78% of trauma victims are young men, aged 20-44, the backbone of our workforce. Should we just keep letting this slide because the news cycle moves on? Pre-hospital care isn’t just some afterthought; it’s a key to saving lives. We need to ask for more, do more, and manage trauma better. Let’s not wait for the next accident to remind us. #TraumaCare #PreHospitalCare #EmergencyHealthcare #SaveLives #MindTheGap Here’s the kicker: Rama Shankar Pandey
