The impostor solicitors of the Malaysian Bar Who are the impostor solicitors? impostor solicitors are product the CLP mill where naive students looking for a career (money earning method) were not taught the most important soft skills in legal Practice are integrity, honesty, loyalty and advocacy in service to the clients. It is a service role but many or most are misled to believe they have unlimited freedom to hijack the clients cause of action to generate all sorts of billings to pad their quote/contract. Impostor solicitors do not believe they are required to abide to Rule 2 to accept any brief. Impostor solicitors reject at will without repercussion any brief requesting assistance . The corrupt Bar Council's refusal to enforce codified professional standards with digital monitoring. The corrupt Bar Council is elected by and from the corrupt Bar thus Councilors pander to the corrupt Bar to get elected into their seats by popularity contest. Only hard memorization skills on laws are tested but not the most important field application of integrity, honesty, loyalty and advocacy of solicitors in service to the clients. Yet these impostor solicitors (armed with figurative long legal knives) are let loose on the unsuspecting citizenry to "rape and plunder at will". The corrupt Bar Council over the years crafted long, tedious, expensive and threatening process in any attempt to report misconduct to rein in these miscreants. By threatening and suppressing the reporters of misconduct, the corrupt Bar Council created a system of avoidance of responsibilities of rampant corrupt Bar fomenting and inciting litigation and fraud that police and MACC(monitoring crime rates) had to warn the Bar Council including the police/MACC using dawn raids on uncooperative solicitors in lawful investigations. These impostor solicitors are those who feel entitled ( after getting licensed) using the inherited(since1947) predatory and corrupt business model to cheat and lie from their fiduciary position on the ignorant clients. It is opinion of this author the implicit enablers includes ex judges, ex AGs, ex DPPs, ex legislators, ex CJs past/present Councilors in the Bar. Since all litigation pass through the Bench, the serving CJ is where the buck stops. Who represent the moral and ethical compass of the corrupt Bar? Surely the collective law enforcement legal minds within the Bar can distinguish the systemic corruption which the Prime Minister and King exhort elimination. Who advocate for the citizenry being preyed upon? Will widespread use of AI analysis and auditing once and for all flip the table on the corrupt Bar business model? or the Executive Branch make quick forceful intervention to free up billions logjammed in incited litigation by the corrupt Bar for the Direct Domestic Investment in the nation's growth?

Robust rejection of claims against solicitors, counsel and lender. Carlin & Anor v A&L Goodbody Northern Ireland LLP & Anor [2024] NICA 32 (24 April 2024) URL: https://lnkd.in/ebNZbr9n Conclusions [9] The conclusions of this court are made in the context of the immediately preceding paragraph. They are as follows: (i) There is either no evidence whatsoever or no credible evidence of any of the numerous factual matters raised in the Notice of Appeal. This applies particularly, but not exhaustively, to the multiple bare assertions relating to the fairness of the proceedings at first instance. (ii) While encompassed in our first conclusion, in view of the seriousness of the allegations, it is appropriate to add that there is no evidence whatsoever of the plaintiffs' allegations of unprofessional conduct, fraud or criminal conduct on the part of any of the respondents. (iii) There is no evidence whatsoever supporting the appellant's allegations of discriminatory treatment of him. (iv) There is no evidence whatsoever of abusive or other misconduct on the part of "officers of the court." (v) There is no evidence whatsoever of any "abuse of processes" on the part of any of the respondents. (vi) There is no evidence whatsoever of "apparent bias" on the part of either the trial judge or any of the other judges or the Chancery Masters previously involved in the litigation history. (vii) As regards the judgment under appeal, there is no discernible error of law; the judge's findings, conclusions and orders are adequately reasoned; and there is no identifiable failure to deal with any material issue. Furthermore, the judgment is in no way vitiated by reference to the equitable doctrine of laches. In a sentence, there is no shred of merit in this appeal. #northernireland #legal #lawfirms #solicitors #counsel

That's the end of my first proper quarter as a consultant solicitor. I technically started in November but it was really the turn of the year I started properly. Everything has gone from strength to strength. I'm attached to the best law firm that have given me absolute freedom to do my own thing. I'm working for amazing clients across the North of England but also nationally. I've got some major director/ shareholder disputes running, I'm attracting court advocacy instructions in the regions, I've just today been instructed on a heavy commercial fraud case, I've got property disputes on my books, a dispute against a major national housing developer, I've got a post employment restrictive covenant dispute on the go, unlawful dividend claims, insurance disputes, partnership disputes, unfair prejudice claims, personal guarantee claims - the list goes on. Looking back now, I don't know why I was concerned about taking the risk. Well, I do - while I always knew I could attract this level of work, it was always a nervy decision to leap into the quasi-self employed arena without the certainty of a fixed income, especially with a very young family, but it was the best decision I've ever taken. Thank you to my LinkedIn network who have sent me referrals, former colleagues who have referred work my way - you all know who you are - my colleagues and friends at LWR and Carter Burnett for giving me the freedom to do my thing and for my clients for trusting their business affairs to my judgment. #lawyer #litigation #disputeresolution #commerciallaw

I have found that when most people, (busineses, public sector employers or individuals), get to an Employment Tribunal, they wish they weren’t there. My colleague Lyndsey Rogers sets out in this article ways of resolving disputes before litigation. She is also trained in mediation! See below👇

Katie Johnson’s departure from her role as Chief Legal Officer and Chief Member Experience Officer at the National Association of Realtors (NAR) marks the end of a significant chapter in the organization’s history. After 17 years of dedicated service to the 1.5-million-member trade association, Johnson is stepping down amidst a period of substantial change within the real estate industry. Her tenure was marked by navigating NAR through legal challenges, including high-profile antitrust lawsuits and handling sensitive issues like sexual harassment scandals. Johnson joined NAR in 2007, initially as associate counsel. She became the organization’s general counsel in 2014, following the retirement of Laurie Janik, and later assumed the role of Chief Legal Officer in 2023. Her leadership was instrumental during NAR’s legal battles, including litigation against NeighborCity.com operator American Home Realty Network and the Sitzer | Burnett case. The latter resulted in a jury finding that NAR and other major real estate firms conspired to keep broker commissions high, leading to a $418 million settlement that is still awaiting final approval. Despite the association’s initial plans to appeal, Johnson’s legal team opted for a settlement, which received mixed reactions from NAR’s members. Johnson’s departure comes shortly after the appointment of Nykia Wright as NAR’s first female CEO, signaling a new leadership era for the organization. The transition is critical as NAR faces continued scrutiny, including an ongoing antitrust investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice. As NAR moves forward, the focus remains on maintaining continuity and adapting to shifts within the real estate market and regulatory landscape. In her 17 years, Johnson played a pivotal role in advocating for the real estate industry, striving to align NAR’s mission with the goal of making homeownership more accessible to Americans. Her legal expertise and leadership through turbulent times earned her recognition within the organization. This leadership transition marks a period of strategic re-alignment for NAR, as it looks to address industry challenges while supporting its vast membership base. #RealEstate #NAR #LeadershipTransition #AntitrustLaw #InmanConnect #RealEstateLaw #Homeownership #IndustryChange #KatieJohnson #REALTORS https://lnkd.in/eDeTkvdv
