Today I am replying to this very interesting question that I was asked by Nicoletta Franchino: -> Which role did you enjoy the most? What skills and experience did you take with you to the next role? 💡 Among my various roles, it is difficult to choose the one that I have enjoyed the most, because I have positive memories from each of them, and I learned and developed different skills. Let’s start with my very first job as a Sales Assistant for a retail Optical store in Italy 😎 I did enjoy the environment because the team was Senior - I learned a lot from them - and fun, so the working days flew by with a lot of laughs! I think the most valuable lesson I have learned in Sales, is that you become to sell and attract customers when you listen to them and genuinely help them with their needs. The best and highest sales I have ever made back in the day were the ones in which I paid full attention to the customer’s requests and came up with the best ways to meet their needs, whether I was selling sunglasses, 90K€ watches, and jewelry, or a Marketing platform. I’m very grateful I learned this lesson in my early working career because it helped me in all of my next roles as a Customer Service representative, Flight attendant, and even as a B2B Marketing Manager. In every role you have in any company/association, always keep in mind the customer’s needs and the value you provide for them. Once you make this “switch” in your mind, your job will make much more sense, and your focus will be on the right things. After a couple of years in Sales, the next role I have landed has been as a Customer Service professional for 4 years! Do you have any questions regarding this role to help me write the best story for you to read? 🙏 Please let me know! I’d appreciate some input 👇

Dedicated Sales Executive and Cashier with Proven Customer Service and Managerial Skills During my two years at Day Mart Hypermarket, I served as a Sales Executive and gained extensive experience in stock auditing and various managerial activities. Sales Executive (Pulses & Crockery Section) My career at Day Mart Hypermarket began as a Sales Executive in the pulses and crockery section. I dedicated myself fully to this role, consistently delivering 100% effort and exceeding expectations. My diligence and commitment were recognized, leading to a promotion after eight months. Cashier: Upon promotion to the cashier position, I continued to work with unwavering dedication, often working 14-hour shifts despite the official 12-hour schedule. The management did not provide chairs at the cash counter, causing significant discomfort and health issues for many of my colleagues and me. Despite informing management, no action was taken. Challenging Situation and Customer Service: One notable incident involved a customer purchasing a large quantity of products just before the hypermarket’s closing time. Despite the challenges, including the absence of staff who had completed their shifts, I managed the situation with composure and aimed to satisfy the customer’s needs. Unfortunately, the customer became irate due to a perceived lack of offers and delays in delivery. Despite my best efforts to calm and assist the customer, the situation escalated. Lack of Managerial Support: During this incident, it became apparent that the managerial team was monitoring the situation via CCTV but did not intervene to support me. Following the incident, a discussion with management was initiated, yet it became clear that the work environment lacked the necessary support and respect for the employees. My continuous overtime work was not compensated, and the respect and recognition deserved for my commitment were not forthcoming. After much consideration, I decided to seek new opportunities where my dedication and hard work would be valued and respected.
