Apprenticeship Application Tip #2 Tailor your application to each apprenticeship opportunity. Rather than using a generic approach, customise your CV, cover letter, and responses to fit the specific role and company you’re applying to. Highlight the skills and experiences that are most relevant to the apprenticeship and show how you can add value to their team. Why? Because personalised applications make you stand out. They demonstrate that you’ve taken the time to understand what the employer is looking for and that you're genuinely interested in working for them. It’s not about having the perfect background. It’s about showing your potential, passion, and willingness to learn. Avoid putting unnecessary things in your CV that wouldn’t help you in your apprenticeship application. This relates to my previous tip in my last post that, if you have a strong fundamental idea of what role you desire from early, this will allow you enough time to gain experience relevant to that specific role. Once again, save yourself the headache!
Absolutely agree! ✨ Customising your application shows effort and passion for the role.
Absolutely love this piece of advice Haris! When competing with 100's or 1000's of other people, applicants need to ensure that their application stands out!
