Concreate slump test The slump test is a concrete consistency test used to measure the workability of fresh concrete by determining its flow and stability. It involves filling a conical mold with concrete, removing the mold, and measuring how much the concrete slumps from its original shape.

What happens when you have a high slump for a concrete slab: Concrete with high slump tends to have a high W/C ratio resulting in the following: 1- Cracks due to the increase in the drying shrinkage (excess water evaporation) 2- Segregation due to settlement of the heavy aggregate below 3- Weakening of the concrete by reducing its compressive strength.

Did you know that plain concrete may crack under tension? That's where steel reinforcement comes to the rescue! By pairing up with concrete, steel adds much-needed tensile strength, preventing cracks and failures in our homes. #SteelReinforcedConcrete #SteelinConstruction

Rebound Hammer test done on concrete. What is rebound hammer test 🤔? Also known as the Schmidt Hammer test, is a non-destructive testing method used to assess the compressive strength of concrete. It evaluates the surface hardness of concrete, which can be correlated to its compressive strength. #TGIF #construction #concrete

What will effect of Silt content in concrete : 1.) Silt particles are smaller and finer than sand particles, which can lead to a reduction. 2.) It can fill the voids between sand particles, making the concrete more Permeable to water. This can lead to increased water absorption, which can weaken the concrete. 3.) Silt can make concrete more difficult to work with. This is because it can increase the water demand of the concrete mix. And So On....
